Cheesy fun

I saw this movie on cable and taped it in the 80's then started looking for it on video. In Mexico I found the pseudo soundtrack (Juan Gabriel canta las canciones de su pelicula En Esta Primavera) on which Por Creer en Ti is sung by Juan Gabriel instead of Estrellita. Finally in 2005 the DVD turned up packaged with a "tribute" to Juan Gabriel. It's cheesy but it's fun. The music is fine - En Esta Primavera the song has been on several compilations of Juan Gabriel's hits. The story is contrived. The acting is from hunger. But it's fun to see 70's Mexico City and places I've been to. And again, the music is fine! Maybe someday I'll find the Estrellita version of Por Creer en Ti.

One of the best worst movies to watch!

The worst movie the popular Mexican singer Juan Gabriel has ever done! The script is stupid, senseless, weak, absurd and ridiculous... His costar, "Estrellita" gives us a glimpse of what bad acting really means. Put the two of them together in a kissing scene and you will get the weirdest feeling ever since Michael kissed Pricilla on TV. Gilberto Martínez, the director was an old man by the time he made this movie, and you can tell that he really didn't give a damn anymore: terrible scenes, failure in continuity, cheap takes...Nevertheles, this movie is quite funny to watch while having a late night party with friends. It guarantees a whole lot of laughs!
