Francesco Barilli recalled that when the movie came out in theaters it was forbidden to minors. "When it was acquired by television, all the most disturbing scenes were left out. For instance, the scene in which Luc Merenda's lover [Jole Fierro] lures Fani into her own room and then lets the man rape her, was cut to the bone. At a certain point, the elderly woman even stuck a finger in Luc's ass as he was fucking the girl, in order to somehow give him pleasure, too. I think I still have a "Playmen" magazine issue with the photo session taken on the set," he said.
Director Francesco Barilli said he had a sexual affair with Leonora Fani (Eleonora her real name) during filming: "She was so pretty, so desperately sad, full of problems and very lonely. On the set her mother arrived from the north, bringing with her a small man, a grey mackintosh and a black leather bag... they called him "the accountant", he was rich and wanted to marry Fani, and her mother threw him into her arms, but Eleonora went crazy when they arrived, she hated him and hated her mother too, she became irritable, she asked me for help and dragged me into the darkest corners of the hotel where we were shooting the film. She gave me disconcerting tongues in my mouth, while her mother looked for her and called her in the long corridors: 'Eleonora where are you? Eleonora the accountant is here.... Eleonoraaaa...' In the rape scene Eleonora was often naked, but the accountant was kept away that day. Then my wife arrived, from whom I was separating, and she started screaming like an obsessive, throwing full bottles of campari soda at me, luckily she didn't have much aim," Barilli recalled.
