At the end of World War Two and at the onset of the Cold War many Soviet controlled Eastern European nations feared clandestine operations set up by the Western Allied Powers designed to destabilize Communism.This movie, allegedly based on a true story,is such an example of Western secret agents sent to Communist Romania in order to achieve hostile aims against the Communist regime.
During the intro scene it is mentioned: "inspired by a real case,this action
takes place in 1950 somewhere in Europe and somewhere in Romania..."
Filming lasted for 42 days between 27 of June,1977 and 18 of August,1977
