The Asian actor dressed up as the black American fighter towards the end of the movie is a parody of Hollywood's casting during that time. Hollywood often cast white people to play Asians, so they cast an Asian man to play a black American.
The film satirizes two of Bruce Lee's greatest hits; "The Way of the Dragon" (1972) and "Enter the Dragon" (1973).
The film was only released in the US in 1999, due to Sammo's success in the "Martial Law" series.
Sammo Hung and Roy Chiao were the only ones to work with Bruce Lee himself, who is honored in the film.
