The best Swedish film ever! I dont think many Swedish movies got cultstatus, but this one does. It's like the king of the 70's Swedish movies.
The Kennet Ahl caracter is probably inspired by some of Swedens most famous communist bankrobbers of the 70's, such as Clark Olofsson. He obviously got DAMP or ADHD. Even though he got problems with his temper and ability to cope with people, he struggles on to get a more "regular Joe"-life away from his drug addicted friends.
It's typical leftish, but not in the perverted style like in the more popular movies at the time, those who made people outside Sweden think that we were sexmaniacs up here. This movie try to stand up for the little guy against the beaurocratic and inhuman system in the socialistic society. For leftwing people I guess the film has a deeper meaning, but I think it's more a great comedy. I wish that they had made this movie an hour longer so that they could have shown more of the excelent co-actors.
