Actress Barbara Magnolfi has expressed her disappointment in the final version of the film. She stated she was disappointed that they changed the film from a more serious psychological thriller to more of an erotic thriller.
The creature sound the teenage couple hears in the old castle is from the 1973 Serbo-Croatian horror film "Leptirica."
There is a bar shown on the Amalfi waterfront called "Le Tre Sorelle," IE "The Three Sisters," in Italian. Main characters Ursula and her sister Dagmar, "La Sorella di Ursula," in the original Italian title, are similarly sorelle and sisters.
