I last saw this film about 20 years ago when i was about 10 years old. It affected me so much that I remember it to this day. An incredibly powerful film - a real tear jerker. I've been searching for a copy of this film to watch it again, but it seems to be really rare. I can't find one anywhere. If you do get a chance to watch it, do. It is excellent. Also watch a film called 'Last snows Of Spring'. They were released together in the UK and this is also an excellent film. Another tearjerker, but equally powerful. I dare you to watch either without shedding a tear.

First saw this film over 40 years ago and have never forgotten it.
A very emotive film.
Filmed in Italian but dubbed over in English - did not bother me at all.
Such a sad ending, I was about 10 years old when I first saw it and I literally cried for hours - I had a bit of a crush on Carlo who played Diego.
Watched the film over and over again and cried everytime even though I knew what was coming.
Released with The Last Snows Of Spring on a double VHS video cassette which is another tearkerker.
Would love to watch them both again if I could find them to buy somewhere.
Both films worth a watch.
