Still going strong 21 seasons after debuting in 2005, the best American Dad episodes show why it’s such a beloved Seth MacFarlane show - and manage to squash any unfair comparisons to Family Guy. While it took a few seasons to gain traction and step out of Family Guy’s shadow, all 372 episodes of American Dad have hilarious moments throughout. By the 2020s it has a dedicated following in its own right, and it’s the unique hilarity of the best American Dad episodes that arguably secured it a fanbase. Relying less on cutaway gags than Family Guy and more on repeat jokes and character humor, the greatest American Dad episodes of all time showcase why...

Actor Denzel Washington brushed up on his boxing after starring in the biographical film The Hurricane. But while practicing, an uncomfortable incident inspired Washington to put down the gloves for good.

Washington has been pretty active in the sport of boxing for quite some time. In The Hurricane, he was able to utilize both his boxing and acting skills in the feature. The film saw the Oscar winner play Rubin Carter, who was a professional boxer wrongfully accused of murder.
And although Washington was already well-versed in boxing, Hurricane would see him take his normal routine to another level. He found himself actually sparring with other trained boxers for the film. The experience, however, actually discouraged him from boxing due to the real-life injuries he risked sustaining.

But if they had to take it a little easy and answer some burning questions living rent free in our heads since season 1, Evil couldn’t have chosen a better episode to do so. There’s a heartbreaking death awaiting us in the 10th episode of the final season. The only comfort is that she died fighting and was forgiven for all her misdoings.

Plenty of tension has surrounded this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, with much of it centered around the inclusion of Israeli performer Eden Golan and her song “Hurricane.” Golan’s performances in the days ahead of Saturday night’s final were met with a healthy amount of booing from audience members opposed to the Israeli-Hamas war — and many fans have accused the show’s organizers of using anti-booing measures to drown out the sound of boos during the finals.
In a video shared by @willthefirst, boos are easy to hear as Golan took the stage Saturday night. He wrote, “A reminder that what you’re seeing on TV for Israel is not representative of what people Actually think #Eurovision.”

Update: Activist Greta Thunberg has reportedly been removed from the protest outside the Malmö arena. She was pictured wearing a Keffiyeh scarf while being escorted away from the protest. It is unclear whether there was an arrest. She was previously quoted as condemning Israel’s participation in the competition as “artwashing.”
Other protesters outside the event were chanting “Shame on you” at attendees arriving at the arena.
Earlier: A crowd of protesters estimated by authorities at up to 10,000 took to the streets of Malmö, Sweden on Saturday, calling for an end to Israel’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest being held tonight in the city.
Swedish police held back the crowd, who demanded that Israeli Eurovision contestant Eden Golan be removed from the final.

The 2024 Eurovision Song Contest is now right on our doorstep. Organized by the European Broadcasting Union (Ebu), the Eurovision Song Contest is the most famous, extravagant music competition in existence with various European countries competing to be crowned the year’s winner and host the next year’s competition.
Before the grand final, however, two semi-finals take place. The top 10 in each semi-final then go through to the final, where they are joined by the host country (the winner of the previous year) and the Big Five — who all qualify automatically. Then, each country performs and vies for votes.
After the performances, every member of the Ebu dials in and dishes out 1-8, 10, and 12 points to their favorite songs – with the points decided via a combination of public votes and jury decisions in each country. Whichever country amasses the most points wins.
The two semi-finals took place earlier this week on May 7 and May 9, respectively,...

After much controversy surrounding whether Israel should be allowed to compete in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, their entry received boos during a dress rehearsal for the competition’s semi-finals.
Israel contestant Eden Golan, who is performing the song “Hurricane” as the country’s entry, began the rehearsal as normal — but shortly after she began, the crowd erupted in boos, with several audience members shouting “Free Palestine.” Despite the reception they garnered, Israel will continue with their performance of “Hurricane” for the second leg of the competition’s semi-finals, which take place this evening in Sweden. Watch clips of the rehearsal below.
Israel’s participation in the competition has been opposed by many groups — both in the host country Sweden and abroad — due to their ongoing military decimation of the Gaza Strip. The world’s largest live music contest is back. The Eurovision Song Contest, a springboard to fame for some of the biggest acts in the world – legendary Swedish band Abba, or more recently, Italian glam rock band Måneskin, for example – will return to screens on Saturday, May 11, to do what it does best: providing the most eccentric performances Europe has to offer.
From perfectly garish outfits and heartfelt ballads to synchronized dance numbers and heavy metal guitar solos, the event is set to feature the wackiest of the continent’s music scene as thousands of fans flock to the Malmö Arena.
Sweden became host after its homegrown star Loreen triumphed last year in Liverpool, England.

Israel’s Eurovision team have struggled to create a non-political song against the background of strong international feeling over the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict.
The Israeli entry for this year’s contest came under intense scrutiny when the lyrics of its original offering October Rain were analysed, and considered too political for the rules set by the determinedly apolitical Contest’s organisers.
Now performer Eden Golan has adapted the song with new lyrics and new title, Hurricane, but The Times of London reports that her team has been challenged in finding the middle way between adhering to Contest rules and keeping the Israeli public happy.
They quote one anonymous team insider saying: “We’ve tried our best to bring a neutral song. We have pressure from the [Israeli] public to write something that speaks the truth. But the world and the Ebu want us not to speak up.”

The browser-based game Infinite Craft has recently gone viral, challenging players to combine words to produce thousands upon thousands of new word-crafting elements. Some elements reference massive pop culture franchises, including one of the most popular franchises of all: Star Wars. Players can combine elements to create the Star Wars element and use it to create new elements referencing George Lucas’ series of epic sci-fi films.
In Infinite Craft, players start with four elements: Water, Fire, Wind, and Earth. With some thinking, players can combine these basic building blocks to create new and more complex elements, including a wide variety of colors, people, and places. Some word combinations are fairly easy to guess, but others, such as Star Wars, require combining several other complex elements in a long sequence.

As of this writing “Vultures” has a MetaCritic score of 49 based on just four reviews counted so far, all of which are classified as mixed — none outright negative, but none outright positive either. Dan Gordon, a 56-year member of the Writers Guild of America and reserve captain for the Israeli Defense Forces, published an open letter on Tuesday resigning from the union over its failure to condemn the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on Oct. 7.
“The failure of the Guild’s leadership to issue even the mildest condemnation of the worst massacre of a religious minority in the Middle East since Isis carried out similar atrocities against the Yezidis is appalling,” Gordon said in his letter. “It is corrosive to me as a writer and repugnant to every fiber of my being as a person of conscience.”
Gordon will assume “financial core” status, or “fi-core” for short. Those with fi-core status cannot vote in guild elections or receive other perks of full members, but still pay reduced dues and work under the same bargaining agreement terms as full members. Those who assume fi-core...

The Weeknd is continuing to boycott the Grammys, but two of his projects — his Avatar: The Way of Water theme song and Emmy-nominated Live at SoFi Stadium concert film — are on the Grammy ballot.
Disney Music Group confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that they submitted “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” from Avatar for best song written for visual media, while HBO confirmed they submitted the singer’s concert special for best music film.
“Nothing is Lost,” released in Dec. 2022, was shortlisted for best original song at this year’s Academy Awards. The Weeknd co-wrote the song with Grammy-winning composer Simon Franglen and Swedish House Mafia members Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. If nominated, Franglen and the electronic trio would receive nominations alongside The Weeknd.
Live at SoFi Stadium was filmed across two nights in Inglewood in Nov. 2022 as The Weeknd performed on his After Hours til Dawn Tour.

“America’s Got Talent” viewers were shocked on Wednesday night when dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane was crowned as the $1 million winner. Fun fact: they are now the third act to prevail on “AGT” that did not receive a Golden Buzzer since its inception, following Shin Lim (Season 13) and Dustin Tavella (Season 16). In Gold Derby’s post-finale poll, we asked fans to vote for who Really deserved to win Season 18, and Adrian & Hurricane came in third place with 16% of the vote. The top spot went to singer Putri Ariani at 26%, followed by synchronized dancers Murmuration at 21%.
Putri is Simon Cowell‘s Golden Buzzer singer who went viral each week with her pitch-perfect voice and out-of-the-box song choices (including those by U2 and Elton John). The 17-year-old Indonesian artist was born blind, but she doesn’t let that stop her from realizing her dream of becoming a worldwide recording artist. Putri ultimately finished in fourth place,...

The 18th winner of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” has been crowned, and it’s fan-fave dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane. They are the show’s second animal act to prevail after Olate Dogs 11 years earlier. (See the updated winners list.) Stoica, who previously competed on “Italia’s Got Talent” and “Romania’s Got Talent,” now sums up his “AGT” victory in three words: “crazy,” “unbelievable” and “amazing.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.
Stoica reveals he never thought he would even “be in the Finals,” let alone win the entire reality TV show. It was always his “big dream” to come try out his animal act on the American stage because it’s the “biggest in the world.” The American judges are Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara and the host is Terry Crews.
