Sometimes, impossible things just happen, and we call them miracles. Though that line may have been spoken by Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith in the Season 5 episode “The Pandorica Opens,” it has perhaps special relevance for Doctor Who fans right now, who are living through a moment most of us had given up hope on ever seeing.
No, it’s not the fact that the Doctor is a woman now. It’s that Christopher Eccleston, the man who both reinvented Doctor Who and walked away from it, who defined the Doctor for a generation and then left him behind, has returned to the role in a series of new audio adventures for Big Finish.
It’s hard to overstate what a big deal this is, both for fans and the franchise as a whole. Eccleston’s time on the Tardis is often unfortunately overshadowed by the furor surrounding the way he left it,...

Exclusive: Deadline hears that comedian Steve Agee is boarding Warner Bros.’ James Gunn-directed sequel The Suicide Squad.
We’re hearing buzz that Agee will provide the voiceover to super-villain King Shark, who is a humanoid. King Shark was created by Karl Kesel and made a brief cameo in Superboy vol. 3, #0 (Oct. 1994) before making his first full appearance in Superboy vol. 3, #9 (Nov. 1994). In the comics, when Superboy is assigned to the Suicide Squad to destroy the Silicon Dragons, King Shark gets hooked in to help.
Agee starred in Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as Gef, one of the members of the Ravagers. Agee is a producer-director-writer and actor. As a consulting producer, he worked on the MTV comedy reality series Ridiculousness. Of the many TV series Agee has starred in: Lifetime’s American Princess, NBC’s Superstore, FX’s You’re the Worst, Fox’s New Girl...

There was so much happening in the final battle against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame that it was hard to catch everything that was going on, especially in the first viewing of the film. It’s not like you can stop and pause it like at home!
Well, there was an incredibly fun cameo in the film that I spotted the second time around that I didn’t expect to see! It was a Guardians of the Galaxy character, and if you haven’t seen the movie yet, I’m going to throw out a spoiler warning.
Maybe you saw the character already, maybe you didn’t. If you didn’t, keep any eye out for Howard The Duck next time you watch the movie!

Michael Rosenbaum is definitely among the sanest people to have emerged from the cast of Smallville – in that he didn’t join a sadomasochistic religious sex cult and engage in human trafficking. So, he’s got that going for him. What he doesn’t seem to have is much of a big screen presence as judging by his IMDb page, he doesn’t look to have anything of note coming up. That might be why he’s angling for a part in James Gunn’s Suicide Squad 2.
A day after Dave Bautista indicated that he’s enthusiastic about making the jump from Marvel to DC alongside Gunn, Rosenbaum chipped on in Twitter by saying “Sign me up, too.” He’ll probably get his wish fulfilled as well, as Rosenbaum and Gunn are longtime friends, with the former making a cameo appearance as Martinex (one of Sylvester Stallone’s Ravagers...

The Ravagers is another in a long line of Hollywood backed Pa films from the 70s that, despite sporting some pretty big names, just seems to have disappear off the face of the earth. That's right folks. No DVD. Nadda. There was a VHS copy released in England ages ago but other than that the film has become something of a Pa legend over the years and a real coveted item for collectors.
The quality of the film itself is up there with another of the era, Ultimate Warrior which, like The Ravagers, starred big names like Max Von Sydow and Yul Brenner. A little dated maybe, but still great fun. That film was recently releases on DVD as part of a double feature with Montgomery Tully's Battle Beneath the Earth so I still have hopes that we'll see The Ravagers hit home video one day.
