When Neil Agar and Herb Kline are meeting in Herb's office, a clock on the wall in the background indicates it is 6:55. A few seconds later, Herb makes a call to his wife, a call lasting a few minutes, but when he hangs up the phone and starts talking to Neil again, the clock reads 7:10.

The instructional insect video states, "Examples of the female killing the male during mating are numerous in the insect world." Immediately after this, it states, "Here, the black widow awaits..." The black widow is a spider, and spiders are not insects.

Ben Hammer's character appears in the cast list as "Herb Kline", but in his office is a nameplate which reads "Herbert Allen."

A swimming cap (protecting the actress's hair) is revealed on a character's head that had not been present minutes before when the very thick white paint-like substance is poured on the actress's head and the thick layer of white substance is removed.

At 37:27 into the film, Herbert Kline is sitting alone at a table with two ashtrays at the center of the table. One ashtray is brown and appears to match those at the other tables. The second ashtray, full of cigarette butts, is also on the table in front of a pad. When Dr. Susan Harris arrives, the second ashtray is gone.

During the beginning credits a teletype machine is typing the autopsy of the "John Doe" victim found in the motel. The type clearly says "End of message." while the typewriter continues to type.
