The exteriors were shot in Arizona; the interiors were shot in California.
Russ Meyer originally intended to cast his wife Edy Williams in the role of SuperVixen, but they split up and he decided to use Shari Eubank (cast as SuperAngel) in the dual roles of SuperAngel and SuperVixen. This necessitated the strange plot device of SuperVixen being the reincarnation (sort of) of SuperAngel, with Eubank also playing the ghost of SuperAngel.
Actress Uschi Digard said in an interview that her breasts began to grow at the age of 11 (she strapped them in for appearances). By the time she was 15, they measured 40DD.
In a 2011 interview, Colleen Brennen said she hated working with Russ Meyer and only did it to earn her SAG card. She said "I sincerely believe that Russ Meyer likes breasts but not their complex life support systems. I didn't like him the first day I met him or the last. And I'm not saying that Meyer was any fonder of me, but I would never have signed up for another one of his misogynistic tit-floggers."
Shari Eubank saw the movie in a theater with her father and Russ Meyer. Meyer said her father had told Eubank he hated the fact that she was working with the director, so Meyer was nervous he would tar and feather him after seeing his daughter naked and having sex. But after the film ended, Eubank's father sad he actually liked the film.
