Okay.If you are about to watch the movie you must be a Hindi movie buff or a Big B fan!In which case you can afford to watch it.All the others stay off it.
Big B does a few tricks in this movie that even Rajni Kant can learn from.Like how to propel oneself from the ground to the first floor with just a slight jerk of your shoulders and a ludicrous background squeal, and how to shoot goons while you are hung upside down. :-)! Hema Malini and Pran have seen better ages but still both of them are there.
If you know all this and still don't mind watching the movie, then it is fun.I knew it.I enjoyed it.But be warned!

This film is OK for the first half where Amitabh meets Hema and Pran and all of them start robbing people but the second half where Amitabh's mother comes it just gets stupid
Amitabh plays the son of a priest whose father is killed by Amjad Khan Amitabh takes revenge by blinding him and then takes to crime Amitabh's hatred towards God
Pramod Chakravoty gave good direction but didn't handle a few scenes right such as Nalini Jaywant slapping Amitabh right in the face even though she cannot see and still had accuracy
Above all the cast Amitabh shows potential Hema Malini is funny Pran gives a decent performances Deven Varma is funny Amjad Khan is menacing as the villain Madan Puri is funny Nalini Jaywant is stupid

As watching Hindi movies this movies has a different outline but somehow lacks many essential things, we know Big B is always good but in this film he is not up to the mark. Pran saab is always at his best and to portray a sad father he gave his best performance. Amjad Khan the villain was also and his best performance. Hema during late 70s & 80s had put on weight and she looks fine but not up to the mark as she was in abhinatri. Her acting is charming but needed more to it. Sarika also had done the best but not that great. As far as film concerned its a film of person not believing in god so atheist. But Deven Verma's comedy was the good part, music was also fine not that fantastic. The climax as usual the hero of Hindi films wins and Villon loses so the climax was happy ending but somehow the things weren't that good in this film. Just before climax things sucked totally. This movie had different outline but sucks overall. The only thing to watch is Amjad khan's and Pran's acting, Deven Verma's comedy and enjoy good music, and overall movie sucks
Nastik is good film to watch but it's a repetition of most of Amitabh's performances where he is always the angry man whose family gets murdered in his early childhood, and later seek revenge once he finds the killer and sometimes reunites with his loved ones when we assume they're still dead! Nevertheless, I enjoy Amitabh's wonderful acting because his appeal is simply unique whether it's drama, action or comedy. As for Nastik, it talks about Shankar's journey as an atheist when he renounces his faith in the gods after the horrible deaths of his family by the evil slumlord Tiger. Blirin and Gori were the perfect companions for Shankar as they earn their living through stealing from the rich until they encounter Tiger and discover his heinous crimes against innocents so they fight him.

Great movie, great acting, great songs. Amitabh is amazing as usual in his role as Shankar. Amjad Khan gives a fantastic performance as well as the villain Tiger. Pran is also great in his role as Amitabh's friend and a father in pain. The storyline is that of revenge (in an indian movie, nooo!). Amitabh plays the "Nastik", a man who shuns his religion because his faith could not save a loved one. Hema Malini also stars as the heroine. I give this movie an 8 out of 10.
