Before the end credits roll, there are quick outtakes of Kristy McNichol (in a suit of armor) asking someone to take her chewing gum, which one crewman does and another where McNichol says into the camera "I just want to say that...it's not all sunglasses and autographs." with a smile before the visor covers her face.
This is the first film to have the longer version of the 1981 20th Century Fox logo, but the fanfare was re-orchestrated as conducted by Alfred Newman's brother Lionel Newman. The longer version continued in other films until 1994, the shorter version of the logo will also continue to use this until 1993.
When the opening credits completed, the words "THE END" and "Released Through Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation" is shown, instead of saying "Released by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation", although the closing words did not appeared in the end credits.
