The heart-shaped diamond necklace that Kate Jackson wore during most of the run of the series was purchased in 1979, just before she hosted "Saturday Night Live" (1975). She wanted something that would sparkle against the black silk blouse she wore that evening.
Sam Melville, who plays Kate Jackson's ex-husband, also played Glen Tucker in Season 2, Episode 22, "Murder Between Friends". They had played a married couple in "The Rookies (1972)."
21 years after the end of this series, Bruce Boxleitner (Scarecrow) made guest-star appearances in Chuck (2007), another spy-action-comedy series featuring a similar premise of a spy-civilian team-up.
In Season 1 episode 4 it appears that a film crew member can be seen when Amanda runs out of her house after being told an RV is being delivered to her. There is a crew members hand and pole visible on the right side of the screen as Amanda runs out of the front door.
Dean's face isn't shown, and he isn't given a last name. He is Amanda King's boyfriend as the show begins. Dean was made tri-city weather forecaster of the year in 1983. Dean likes plaid and sometimes leaves plaid clothes at Amanda's.
