O'Brien and Paco Moreno are fighting at the very end, of course. Mick has gotten hold of an ice pick and has temporarily stunned Paco who is on his back gasping for air. Everybody other kid there is screaming "KILL 'EM! KILL 'EM!" While mick looms over Paco with the ice pick. Finally Mick makes a stabbing motion downward and buries the ice pick, only for the camera to pull back and see Mick has embedded the ice pick in the floor and not Paco. Mick gets up and drags Paco over in front of the Guard's window, as he does this we can see Paco is still breathing. Presumably Paco survives all this since that is the impression we get. After that he will probably de transferred to an adult prison, where he will serve a long prison sentence for attempted murder and assault, which he will also probablyl have to spend in full.

Because J.C. is Mick's girlfriend. Paco was trying to hurt Mick by striking at someone he loved and cared for, and he did just that by beating, humiliating and raping J.C., and would have killed her had the police not caught him.

The movie was first released for the home cinema market in a heavily shortened version. Here, nearly 14 minutes of storyline were cut. Fortunately the Original Theatrical Version was later released on DVD as well.
