Debut produced screenplay for a feature film of production secretary Miranda Downes.
The film was a Palm Beach Pictures - Filmco Production in association with the Australian Film Commission.
Debut theatrical feature film of Australian actress Geneviève Picot.
Dennis Quaid was the original choice for the role of Max Wylde. Producer David Elfick and director David Stevens visited Quaid on the set of 'Jaws 3D' (1983) where reportedly Quaid showed interest in the project.
This Australian feature film opened wide in Australia in February 1984 but had previously been released in a limited capacity during 1983 so members of the AFI (Australian Film Institute) to view the film, and as such, it could therefore be eligible for that 1983 year's AFI (Australian Film Institute) Awards. The movie received 6 AFI Award nominations but failed to win any gongs thereby going into major release in 1984 without any Australian film awards hook in its marketing campaign which had been the intention of making it completed and eligible in time for AFI Awards screenings.
