Despite its plotline and visuals, Transformers One’s performance was rather underwhelming. The movie garnered an array of reactions from the audience. Mostly, the reactions pointed to its addition to the franchise’s decline.
But that is not the end of it, especially with the recent announcement regarding the sequel.

On X several fans responded to the sequel being dropped. And while some may assume a delay, it is nothing of the sort. This precisely has to do with Hasbro’s decision regarding the movie.
Additionally, it is bound to jeopardize other movie franchises with its decision. It ties well with the Transformers sequel and its future.

My Hero Academia and Gundam share commonalities in more ways than one. Both series are successful in their way. But most importantly, both series had an eminent figure behind their success.
Apart from animators, art directors deserve their due recognition for their pivotal role. This is especially the case with Shigemi Ikeda san. As unfortunate as it is, the talented art director has passed away at the age of 69. And there’s more to it.

Ikeda San worked as a prolific art director for notable projects. These include Gundam, Macross as well as Inuyasha, and so on. His death is a huge loss for the anime industry. Apart from that he has left behind a legacy of impeccable series through his contribution to the industry.

Cowboy Bebop is that anime that fans watch just for the vibes and music. Sure, the ending is quite emotional but the whole show itself presents a much relaxed but chaotic atmosphere that is fun for any fan of any genre. It’s also one of those anime that is added in a starter pack along with Death Note and for good reason.

The creators took a lot of inspiration from Star Wars for sure. The whole space-theme and battles of Spike Spiegel with Galactic thugs and Syndicates are definitely a nod to Luke Skywalker and his battles with Darth Vadar and the Galactic Empire. But fans will not believe the main intent behind Cowboy Bebop‘s creation and it’s more tied to Star Wars than they think.

Robotech is a franchise that keeps on keeping on and most of that is thanks to comics. After making a big splash with its original anime in 1985, the series mostly went quiet but comics were almost always there to fill in the gap. From Comico Comics to Eternity Comics, Academy Comics, Wildstom, and more, the Robotech comics now reside at Titan Comics. After relaunching the line in 2017, Titan paused on new Robotech comics in 2020 thanks in part to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Now the comics are back and they’ll be focusing on a fan-favorite lead character in the Robotech universe. Rick Hunter, from the first generation Macross Saga. Below we’ve got an exclusive synopsis and images from the new series.

Based on the Lensman novels by E. E. Smith, “Lensman: Secret of the Lens” shares a very similar narrative to “Star Wars” (to the point that the books must have influenced Lukas when he was writing the script) but still remains very much Japanese in a number of ways.
