The only Norwegian Olsenbanden film which isn't a remake of a Danish original.
This was the last Olsenbanden-movie featuring all of the original cast members. Carsten Byhring (Kjell) died 6 years later of cancer.
The security guard at the Munch museum mention a gang of criminals that used a photograph to cover a security camera to perform a coup. This is a reference to Olsenbandens aller siste kupp (1982), where the gang performed a coup behind a photograph.
During the security guard's conversation with the janitor about dreams, in the Munch Museum control room, the guard pushes a button and a panel is lit up, with 12 small lit squares. This is the same panel used for the lottery-combination lock in Olsenbanden og Dynamitt-Harry mot nye høyder (1979).
Final Olsenbanden-movie to feature Sverre Wilberg as Hermansen. Wilberg passed away in 1996, 3 years before Olsenbandens siste stikk (1999).
