This movie was the most succeeded of all the Uuno Turhapuro series. It gained exactly 750,965 viewers only in movie theatres in Finland. The second successful Uuno Turhapuro -movie was the first of its serie named Uuno Turhapuro (1973).
This movie inspired the director Ere Kokkonen to create and direct Vääpeli Körmy ja marsalkan sauva (1990) and its several follow up movies after he had a falling out with Spede Pasanen because of disagreement of his salary on the Uuno Turhapuro kaksoisagentti (1987) movie that he ended up not directing.
