At the 2020 Grammys, Finneas won his first-ever honors — six to be exact — for his work on his baby sister Billie Eilish’s debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, making him the most awarded artist of the night. Attacca Quartet also won their first Grammy at that show, for best chamber performance on their album Orange, though the two acts didn’t know each other.
Years later, they joined forces to create the music for Apple TV+’s Disclaimer, Alfonso Cuarón’s acclaimed thriller starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen and Kodi Smit-McPhee. The musicians worked so well together, they collaborated on Eilish’s latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft.

Updated, 10:58 Am: The Rust special prosecutor may have hopes of reviving the involuntary manslaughter case against Alec Baldwin, but the Emmy-winning actor’s lawyers don’t seem to be pausing their Thanksgiving preparations over this latest move by Kari Morrissey.
“We sincerely doubt Attorney General Torrez will be pursuing this appeal, which would only further the unethical and corrupt conduct that gave rise to the Court’s dismissal,” defense attorneys Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro told Deadline on Wednesday of the action in the New Mexico courts.
A day after Morrissey filed a notice of appeal, the reaction from the duo kind of says it all for them and their increasing public client, who was facing 18 months behind bars if found guilty in the 2021 fatal shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. As it was, Judge Mary Marlow Sommer tossed out the whole thing just a few days into Baldwin...

Kenichi Ugana’s deliciously unusual film “The Gesuidouz,” a cinematic trip that defies conventional storytelling and musical storylines, combines punk rock with magical realism. This isn’t your average band drama; it’s a wonderfully imaginative examination of creativity, survival, and artistic expression that combines sardonic wit with unexpected emotional depth.
Hanako, a 26-year-old lead singer with an unusual mission, is at the heart of the story. She’s convinced she’ll die at 27, joining the notorious 27 Club alongside heroes like Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain, and she’s desperate to create musical magic before her self-imposed deadline. Her band, The Gesuidouz (meaning “guesthouse”), is a misfit foursome that specializes in horror-themed punk music, emphasizing raw passion above polished performance.
Ugana, known for his bold approach to indie filmmaking, has crafted a narrative that straddles the line between absurdist comedy and serious artistic reflection. When the band faces the possibility...

If you’re like most people, you’ve probably spent a lot of time watching escapist entertainment. But “escapist” doesn’t mean “pointless.” Every work of art has something to say, whether it means to or not. If anything, the art we make to calm our anxieties speaks volumes about what makes us anxious in the first place, if only by omission. Even the shallowest superhero movies imagine a world where justice is achievable within a couple short hours, and not just one possible outcome of a miserable bureaucratic obstacle course that’s designed to hurt more people than it protects.
And then there are romantic comedies like “Meet Me Next Christmas,” the latest in a long line of cheerful, often interchangeable holiday rom-coms, which imagine a world where we have the time, money and job security to focus entirely on finding true love in late December, instead of panicking...

Season 19 of Sister Wives continues its emotional rollercoaster as the Browns navigate tragedy, instability, and the complete dissolution of their polygamist family. However, one family member seems to be getting a rebrand. TLC appears to be softening Robyn Brown’s image as the most disliked of Kody Brown’s wives. And this all comes as viewers await some of the most heartbreaking episodes in the series’ history.
TLC orchestrates a Robyn Brown rebrand after 18 seasons of questionable behavior
Historically, Robyn and Kody Brown quietly dismantle the Brown family. From season 1, it was clear Robyn and her children were prioritized over Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown and their children.
At first, Robyn maintained a stance of family unity. However, as the seasons progressed, she acted as a victim and Kody rushed to her defense.
Around season 15, the series reframed Kody and Robyn Brown as a monogamist couple, even though he remained spiritually married to Meri,...

We’ll argue the merits of the Star Wars prequels until the end of time. Or, at least, until Red One changes the hierarchy of power in sci-fi fantasy blockbusters forever. Still, even with the recent groundswell of fan support, few films are more divisive than Star Wars: Episode 1—The Phantom Menace.

“Venom: The Last Dance” hopes to sink its teeth into at least $65 million in its box office debut. The third and final entry in the Tom Hardy-led antihero franchise is landing in 4,125 North American theaters on Friday.
Those ticket sales would be far behind the prior two installments, 2018’s “Venom” (which opened to $80 million) and 2021’s “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”. The comic book installment looking to get a lift from international audiences; “Venom 3” is projected to add $85 million overseas for a global start of $150 million.
“The Last Dance” cost $120 million to produce, not including worldwide marketing efforts. Since theater owners get to keep roughly half of ticket sales, “Venom 3” needs to stick around on the big screen beyond its debut to justify that price tag. Kelly Marcel, who wrote the first two films, directed the PG-13 threequel, which stars Hardy as investigative journalist Eddie Brock and his unwitting sidekick and parasite Venom,...

If you think the American presidential election has been unpredictable, wait’ll you see how capricious things get at the Vatican when the cardinals assemble to choose a new pope in “Conclave.” Adapted from the Robert Harris novel by Edward Berger, who assumes a very different challenge after “All Quiet on the Western Front,” this thinking man’s thriller unfolds like a murder mystery behind the locked doors of the Domus Sanctae Marthae, where the College of Cardinals is cloistered, except no one suspects foul play in the previous pontiff’s death.
Still, intrigues abound as the papabili — those considered next in line for the job, played by such formidable actors as Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci and John Lithgow — pull whatever levers they can to be elected. But “Conclave” obviously concurs with Plato’s adage, “Only those who do not seek power are qualified to hold it,” featuring a host...

‘General Hospital’ (Gh) spoilers confirm that Gh fans are outraged over the show’s decision to axe Kelly Monaco from the cast. Monaco has played the role of Sam McCall since October 2003.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Show Is Planning To Kill Off Sam McCall
There are plans in place to kill Sam off, and some fans are threatening to tune out. There is also a petition on the site change.org. To “Keep Kelly Monaco, aka Sam, on General Hospital.”
Fans are clamoring to save Kelly’s job, as many are upset that the show is treating a veteran actress this way.
Most of those fans are huge Sam fans and don’t want to see one of their favorite heroines killed off the soap. Sam would also leave behind two young children, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante).
Not to mention, the Davis family has been through enough lately.

Devotion runs through the veins of Fontaines D.C.’s music. The Dublin group first crashed onto the post-punk scene with their 2019 debut Dogrel, a nuanced, gripping homage to their homeland; 2022’s guttural Skinty Fia unpacked the guilt they felt after relocating to London. Now, they’re considering devotion through an entirely new lens, introduced on the opening title track of their fourth album Romance. Over brooding, cinematic synths, singer Grian Chatten proclaims, “Maybe romance is a place/For me/And you.”

Having just set her second Apple x A24 collaboration, reality TV inspired murder-mystery The Wives, Oscar-winning actor Jennifer Lawrence is gearing up to work with A24 again already. Today, the company behind Everything Everywhere All At Once and Civil War announced that they've optioned the rights to Paul B. Rainey's 2023 graphic novel Why Don't You Love Me?, with Lawrence set to star and produce, and Robert Funke (On Becoming A God In Central Florida) on script duties.
Presented in an old-fashioned, newspaper style black-and-white strip format, Rainey's graphic novel follows unhappily married couple Claire and Mark. She's depressed, he's anxiety-addled, and at the head of every page the question repeats: Why don't you love me? It's a well observed if pretty grim take on modern life throughout its first half, but a killer Hail Mary of a twist mid-way through (no spoilers here!) leaves you reassessing everything that's come before.

Mia Goth returns for the third chapter of the X trilogy as an adult film star trying to take a crack at horror while a serial killer stalks the city’s sex workers
Director Ti West goes three for three, serving up a horribly watchable new episode in his outrageous black-comic franchise of aspirational horror porn, this time set in 80s Hollywood. Mia Goth returns triumphantly as Maxine, now known as adult movie star MaXXXine Minx, whose traumatic teen story was told in X from 2022 and its 2023 prequel Pearl. West mulches up a thick impasto of pulp, gore, filth and fear and gets away with some colossally self-aware scenes, including one in the Bates Motel set on the Universal studio lot, and one under the Hollywood sign; there is also some blue chip acting talent in the supporting roles.

The Oscar-nominated actor is coming off Universal’s The Fall Guy and is due to next shoot Project Hail Mary for Amazon MGM. Phil Lord and Chris Miller are directing.

Doctor Who's beautiful ending wasn't anything like what I expected.
Doctor Who Season 1 Episode 8 did what Doctor Who does best, but some fans are bound to be highly disappointed.
Sutekh left a grim trail of death and destruction all over the universe, and the Doctor managed to set everything to rights, which should be cause for celebration. However, a season-long mystery ended without fanfare, and another one still hasn't been solved.
Is Sutekh Gone for Good This Time?
Fifty years ago, the Fourth Doctor thought he banished Sutekh forever, only for it to turn out that he had an unwelcome stowaway ever since who was using the Tardis to slowly destroy all life.
(The original episode is called "Pyramid of Mars" and is one of the best classic Who episodes. It's on Britbox and is well worth watching if you haven't already.)

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s live-action Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling and Sandra Huller, has begun filming in London for Amazon MGM Studios.
Miller confirmed the start of shoot via social media. The film is an adaptation of the popular science fiction novel of the same name written by Andy Weir, author of ‘The Martian’, in 2021.

Anatomy Of A Fall star Sandra Huller will appear opposite Ryan Gosling, in the soon to shoot Project Hail Mary.
It was revealed earlier this month that Ryan Gosling’s next film would be Project Hail Mary, an Amazon MGM-backed project that is set to begin shooting in London next month.
The talent behind this makes it a rather appealing project to follow, not least because it boasts a Drew Goddard script and the directing duo of Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The film is also based on the novel by Andy Weir, whose novel The Martian was also adapted for the screen by Goddard. Then there’s the Gosling factor too, given that the actor’s popularity seems to be riding rather high at the moment.
If that wasn’t enough, it’s now been revealed that Sandra Hüller has joined the cast too.

Eddie Murphy is back with a badge for the fourth franchise installment of his beloved series, with “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.”
The upcoming Netflix film, which teased a first look earlier this year, marks Murphy’s long-rumored reprisal the iconic character Detective Axel Foley. The ’80s-era franchise first began with Foley as a Detroit detective turned temporary L.A. police officer for an uncover mission. Now, after having worked in L.A. sporadically for decades, Foley teams up with his estranged daughter Jane (Taylour Paige) to take down yet another conspiracy.
Along the way, Foley lands a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and police captain (Kevin Bacon), but his old confidantes, including Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton), are still in the mix. Also returning? Franchise co-stars Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot.

A virtual press day with the leads of Evil was bittersweet, and this wasn’t lost on any of us who participated.
TV Fanatic chatted with Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandvi about the upcoming season, which premieres on Thursday, May 23. We are all hoping for a Hail Mary pass that will save the genre-defying show.
It’s easy to joke that Evil should be around as long as evil exists in the world, but the truth is that creators Robert and Michelle King have managed to say something important about the subject for three seasons, and that doesn’t stop during Season 4.
We always wonder what we can do to score that oft-sought last-minute save of a beloved series, and the answer is to watch it.
Right now, the first three seasons are on Netflix. If it doesn’t score there, then we’ll be assured the eradication...

Spoiler Alert: The following story reveals major plot points from the NCIS: Hawai’i series finale.
Following three seasons on the air, NCIS: Hawai’i said goodbye to viewers following a heartbreaking and unexpected cancelation late last month.
The episode titled “Divided We Conquer” is the second-part conclusion of the finale following the April 29 episode “Spill the Tea.” In tonight’s episode, the team finds itself in one of the most dangerous situations of the series when they are exposed to deadly bioweapons by a terrorist group.
Things were very touch and go for many including Sam (LL Cool J) who, though he was exposed to just a tiny bit of the virus, came very close to meeting his maker. A last-minute Hail Mary saved the day and he survived, though he was definitely left worse for wear while recovering.
Although the team didn’t get a proper sendoff, the episode ends...

ESPN has been working toward a deal with the league for months, though it’s still unclear what NFL Media content will continue if a pact is reached.
It looks like ESPN is ready for even more football. The channel has been home to “Monday Night Football” since 2006, but it appears that ESPN is about to add a much greater selection of NFL content. A report from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk indicates that the league is drawing close to an agreement with ESPN that will see the league gain an equity stake in the family of networks, and in exchange, ESPN will take over operations of NFL Network.
Key Details: ESPN and the NFL were reported to be in “advanced talks” for a deal in January. Disney has been seeking minority partners for ESPN, partially to help fund its future streaming ambitions. Having more NFL content could help...

Blue Bloods returns after a brief hiatus for the final four episodes of Season 14 Part One.
The final season of the hit CBS show has been divided into two parts, with the final eight episodes airing next fall.
Well, that is unless Blue Bloods fans get their wish and CBS renews the show at the last minute, just like with S.W.A.T.
CBS likely won’t decide about the fate of Blue Bloods until next year, but the good news is that the fans have been loud telling the network to “cancel the cancel.”
In the meantime, summer break is on the horizon, bringing the first part of Blue Bloods Season 14 to an end.
Let’s examine what we know about the remaining Blue Bloods Season 14 spring episodes.

T-minus two years for the release date of the upcoming Project Hail Mary. Amazon MGM Studios has finally set a date for the Ryan Gosling astronaut thriller. Deadline recently reported that the film, which is being directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, is preparing for launch on March 20, 2026. There are currently no other big titles scheduled for that weekend. Amy Pascal, Gosling, Lord, Miller, Aditya Sood, Rachel O’Connor and Andy Weir are all on board as producers of the film. Drew Goddard wrote the adapted screenplay based on the Andy Weir novel. Weir had also written the novel for The Martian, which served as source material for the Matt Damon film of the same name. Goddard is also set to executive produce with his Goddard Textiles partner Sarah Esberg, along with Ken Kao.
“The movie, filmed for Imax, is based on Weir’s (The Martian) novel and set in the near future.

Over three months after being convicted of reckless assault and harassment, Jonathan Majors was sentenced this morning by a New York judge to participate a domestic violence treatment program. The one-year “in person batterers” intervention program will be in LA, where Majors is based.
Present in Judge Michael Gaffey’s Manhattan courtroom Monday, Majors could have faced up to a year of jail time for his conviction on December 18 on two misdemeanor counts of reckless assault and harassment against Grace Jabbari. Lizzo‘s legal team has filed a motion to dismiss a harassment and discrimination lawsuit made by a former “disgruntled” employee.
Back in September, the 35-year-old “Juice” singer was named in a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court by her former stylist and designer Asha Daniels, who accused Lizzo of creating “a sexualized, racially charged and illegal work environment.” She alleged that the singer doesn’t stop her management team from mistreating others who work under them.
Asha worked with Lizzo creating costumes for her dancers for her tour this year and alleged that she often worked 20-hour days without a break.
On Friday (December 15), Lizzo‘s attorney requested that the judge dismiss the lawsuit, claiming it was “meritless and salacious.”

Lizzo’s lawyers filed a motion last week rebuffing a harassment and misconduct lawsuit brought by a former employee, calling it “meritless and salacious.”
The lawsuit was brought by Asha Daniels, who worked as a wardrobe designer on Lizzo’s 2023 tour, and helped design outfits for the rapper’s “Big Grrrl” dancers. Daniels accused Lizzo and her team of racial and sexual harassment, disability discrimination, illegal retaliatory termination, and assault.

“American Horror Story: Delicate” is off to a brutally bland start. We’re already three weeks into the series’ first attempt at a book adaptation for the FX horror show — a mainstay in seasonal television disappointments, now in its twelfth installment — and next to nothing has happened.
Set against contemporary Hollywood via Manhattan (and later the Hamptons), author Danielle Valentine’s “Delicate Condition” could have provided the basis for a decent limited series or possibly a movie. But AHS needed something meatier than a middling “Rosemary’s Baby” redux to keep the anthology’s rapidly diminishing legacy from swirling down the drain like hormone-riddled pee. And yet somehow, Ryan Murphy and co-creator Brad Falchuk have let a series that once had Frances Conroy cannibalizing a still-alive Adina Porter become excruciatingly boring.
