Hawk the Slayer

Often after leaving the pub, late at night, with my friends, staggering into my local film buff's TV room, our host will ask us what we want to watch. He's got a fair few films in his collection, more good than bad, but invariably we end up watching Hawk the Slayer at least one time in three. None of us can understand why. We know it's awful but we're very fond of it. Probably 'cause it's British where all around at the time were your Willows and Conans and so on. I loved those films when I was a boy and they give me a warm gooey feeling inside.

I hope the Lord of the Rings trilogy is up to scratch when it's done.

Not that I'm into any of that beardy stuff by the way.
