Al's tow truck proved to be very unreliable, breaking down daily on set. It broke down just meters before its ultimate demise, requiring crew to push it over the cliff.
The opening credits car accident was performed by a stunt driver with minimal protection. The driver was supposed to yell out he was okay after the car rolled, but forgot to do so making the crew think he was dead or incapacitated. The stunt driver's wife was on location witnessing the stunt and had to be restrained to prevent her running into shot.
