When released to German theaters, due to the censorship board, the film was pulled after a successful midnight run.
In the subtitled version, some dialogue is missed because some subtitles are barely possible to read, due to the quality of the tapes.
Contrary to popular belief, Andreas Schnaas does not play Karl (or "K. The Butcher Shitter" as he is listed in the opening credits). Instead, Andreas plays the man who is chopped in half by Karl. The movie's ending and opening credits do not assign character names to the actors, which is probably the reason for the confusion.
Karl Inger played Karl the Butcher, not Schnaas.
