The Gateway La program aims to develop audience-driven Aussie content for international audiences. A select number of finalists are nominated in a list of screenplays similar to the Us's The Black List and the UK's Brit List.

The inaugural winner of the prize was Yolanda Ramke for her script, Cargo. It has since been turned into a feature film starring Martin Freeman, now in post-production. In February, Netflix acquired the worldwide rights.

Miley Cyrus went all out for Liam Hemsworth and sister Noah Cyrus's joint birthday party on Friday. Liam rang in his 27th year with an N.W.A.-themed bash complete with giant pizzas, tattoos, and weed goodie bags, courtesy of Snoop Dogg. The party was a star-studded affair that included appearances by Elsa Pataky, Ashley Greene, and Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne. Earlier in the day, Miley gave Liam a special shout-out on Instagram, writing, "Happiest birthday Ever to my favorite being Ever Ever Ever! You have been my best friend since the day we met..... I am beyond lucky to share sooooo many animals with you!!!

Most company holiday parties include ugly Christmas sweaters, awkward conversation, and that one co-worker who always gets way too drunk, but when Beyoncé does it, she doesn't screw around. The "Daddy Lessons" singer threw a holiday party for her record company, Parkwood Entertainment, at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in La on Dec. 15, and we basically would have given up our own jobs to be able to attend. Not only did the Lemonade-themed bash include "Formation" goodie bags, sour candy, and a display of Beyoncé's iconic costumes from the visual album, but she also performed some of her biggest hits for her employees.
