Joris has been so busy doing the housekeeping that neighborly Trees decides to buy him a terrible looking new sweater. Just then Hanna brings home minister Ed Nijpels.
Daughter Monique, who is living in the States keeps neighbor Trees better informed than her parents. Hanna has invited Ria Beckers for tea while Mr. Boulhouwer keeps dropping by to complain.
When Hassan sneaks into the house at night Joris thinks he's being burgled. Coincidentally, Hanna has booked an ex-delinquent to give a lecture at school and asks Joris to pick him up.
Joris asks Paul van Vliet to perform at the school charity, only to find out he won't be allowed to do his famous juggling act himself. A man offers to paint their house if Joris in return tutors his son.
When both Trees and Hanna are taken ill, Joris has to look after both of them. He goes to a reading to meet Hanna's lookalike, actress Anne Wil Blankers.
