Producer Phil Avalon (Phillip Avalon) does not refer at all to this sequel to Summer City (1977) in the 2004 DVD special feature Summer City: Retrospective Interview with Phil Avalon (2004).
This sequel was made and first released about eleven years after its precursor movie Summer City (1977) had debuted during the late 1970s.
The character name of the dog was "Rooter". It was portrayed by a canine called Patch. The movie's closing credits had a special listing for this by stating: ''And Featuring Patch as 'Rooter' The Dog''.
This movie and Young Einstein (1988) were the debut theatrical feature films of indigenous Australian actor David Ngoombujarra.
