There are actually two films with Manon: "The Mystery of Manon" is a sequel of "Memories of Manon", and not the UK video name. They are both very good indeed, and Edward Woodward as Robert McCall is superb, as always. In the "Memories" McCall, while helping Philippe Marcel, Yvette's father and husband of his long lost love Manon, discovers that he himself is in actual fact Yvette's father, whereas in the "Mystery" she discovers the same. In both, the past returns to haunt McCall, in the "Mystery" it almost kills him, his son Scott and Control. It is a great pity that the whole Equalizer series is not available on DVD - it is a wonderful series, with a very amusing script and good interpreters, first and foremost Edward Woodward himself. Although we do sometimes get re-runs, in many countries not all episodes have been shown, probably because they are dubbed and that has a cost which weighs with the networks that buy the right to show them. But however good the dubber (and in Italy they are good), nothing compares with the original!
Melissa superb,The rest are ok.
Without Melissa this episode would be quite average.
But she raises the grade by a factor 2.
She should appear more!

The Equalizer was a fascinating series. I am glad to be able to watch in again in re-runs on a daily basis. I always wished Melissa had been a regular, or even a semi-regular on the show. I think her appearances may have prolonged the series for several more years. She did a great job in Memories of Manon.
