Dear viewers,
My first cousin, was Mr. Ken Norton,,,the real Mr. Norton that was Elmo Zumwald Jr.'s best friend from Annapolis. The actual person that is portrayed in the movie shot dead by the sniper,,,in the bottom of the boat.
I had NO knowledge of this movie in 1988,,,I just happened to come home at that time it aired, just happened to turn on the TV and just happened on the correct channel to see the beginning of this movie.(and watched in awe till the end) The actor who portrayed my cousin, looked like him, acted like him,,,and talked like him(my cousin).
I would like a 'copy' of any tape from anyone who has a tape or DVD of this movie for family sake!! I agree with Mr Thomas, this movie is a very realistic movie of the life and times of the era. IF anyone can HELP me locate anyone who served on the same boat,,OR help me obtain a copy of said movie,,,please contact me at 'saramy at ptcnet.net' substituting the proper @ for the at for spam purposes(don).
Needless to say,I think THIS movie should be released again and or available on VCR or DVD. Thank you for your service to America,,, Swift boat sailors!! sincerely--don--
