During his time on 21 Jump Street (1987), Richard Grieco received more fan mail than any of the other cast members, including Johnny Depp. Due to his rising popularity, the network decided to spin-off Booker into his own series.
Booker visits Jump Street chapel a few times during this series.
Holly Robinson Peete, Peter DeLuise, and Steven Williams all made guest appearances on Booker playing their 21 Jump Street (1987) characters throughout the first season of Booker.
Though Johnny Depp doesn't make an appearance on this spin off, his character Tom Hanson is mentioned by Booker, Judy Hoffs and other characters in a few episodes.
