After director Bhasker Shetty's death in car accident, Subhash Ghai shot the remaining scenes of this N. N. Sippy produced film (Sippy gave a break to Ghai as director with Kalicharan, later Ghai directed Sippy's Meri Jung). Subhash Ghai, Jeetendra and Kimi Katkar all got chance to work with each other for some days.
Anil had signed the film before Tezaab and Ram Lakhan. Once those films were declared box office blockbusters, Anil started playing games. He felt a film with a declining star Jeetendra would dampen his stardom. He went to producer Pravesh Sippy and demanded two extra songs be picturised on him . He then asked the producer to shoot extra scenes on him making senior star Jeetendra less important. Pravesh Sippy declined Anil's request and Anil stopped giving dates to the film. Parvesh had to meet Anil at shootings of other producer's films and beg him for dates . Anil would never listen to him and tell him to come tomorrow. Sippy finally gave in and gave Anil what he wanted because he needed to complete and release the film after Bhaskar Shetty passed away. After the film the Sippy's swore never to work with Anil again.
Arshad Warsi and Sajid Khan were background dancers behind Kimi Katkar in the song "Help Me".
Subhash Ghai gave Jackie's dates for the film but when Ghai shelved Devaa and decided to make Ram Lakhan, he took back those dates. That is when Jeetendra was signed.
Director Bhaskar Shetty passed away when a truck rear ended him after he had just finished shooting for Aag Se Khelenge. He was flung through the front windshield after his car was hit. He got up without any scratches or any type of physical injury. He got back into the car and drove home. When he arrived at home he let out a loud cry in his drive way. His ribs had broken and pierced his lungs. He died at the spot.
