Andrew Prowse replaced Brian Trenchard-Smith as director, reportedly due to medical problems suffered by Trenchard-Smith. Trenchard-Smith left on a Friday; Prowse began working the following Monday. Not a single day of production was lost due to Trenchard-Smith's departure.
Nancy Everhard, who plays Jan-Michael Vincent's girlfriend and the film's ingenue, had appeared in an episode of Jan-Michael's series Airwolf (1984).
