Partly thanks to this film - I became a filmmaker. Since, some have tried to copy it, testimony to its originality and influence. Thank you Bill, thank you KLF.

Genius or terrible? It's up to you.

The KLF movie is not... normal. If that is a bad thing? If you really like normal then you might dislike The White Room. If 'not normal' is a good thing? You just might love it. Mixed across scenes from various song videos are elements of pure genius. This is not much more than a string of muzak videos and yet it is so much more. Should you watch this film? I say yes. Like it or hate it, it is required viewing. Even the scenes of them driving are beautiful. Driving in the rain, snow, deserts, cities and highways. It is a 'road movie' after all! There are memorable moments of absolute magnificence scattered here and there. It's short and while there isn't much of a plot? It is still very interesting.

Released was revoked in 1989 when the producers decided to re-make the movie, adding an additional plot based on events taking place behind the scenes (during the shooting of the first version of the movie.) The new version was to have starred 'McGann, Paul' and Greta Scacchi, but was never funded.
