The episodes were shot every Saturday afternoon, starting at 2 pm, ending at about 5 pm.
After the death of actor Coen Flink in June 2000, talks were held with his widow whether or not to continue the show. Out of respect, Flink's role of Opa Henry wasn't recast. Instead, at the start of season 13, the character of Henry had died off-screen as well.
In Dutch, the show's title could be read as "Watch out!" but also as the Dutch word for babysitting, the latter meaning referencing how the household is run by the two grandfathers who also have to deal with most upbringing struggles. When the show's format was reworked for season 7, the writers considered renaming it "Twee opa's en een baby" ("Two grandfathers and a baby"), which was rejected in the end.
With all the original cast members leaving the show over the years (except Coen Flink, who died in 2000), Ben Hulsman is the only one who stayed from the start until the end. Fred Vaassen also appeared in the first season, but only in two guest appearances in the 6th and 13th episode. This also makes Hulsman the only actor who never missed one episode.
