Hulk (2003) is not on Disney+ and had a mixed reception, but it offers a unique character study and is worth watching for fans of the character. It's now available on Netflix. Hulk set the tone for Stan Lee's speaking cameos in Marvel projects, being the first time he had lines in a Marvel movie. Lee went on to have speaking cameos in future Marvel movies until his final appearance in Avengers: Endgame. Despite its flaws, Hulk is an important part of Marvel movie history, as it experimented with serious storytelling for fantastical characters. It paved the way for the development of the McU's Bruce Banner and Hulk.
Bruce Banner is one of the most prolific heroes in the MCU, but a pre-Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Hulk (2003), is now available to stream on Netflix and was the first to pull off a now-classic Marvel feat. Unlike most Marvel characters, the...

As the beginning of his IMDb bio states, “Every horror film buff will recognize the name Jacques Haitkin.” Haitkin was the cinematographer on one of the most popular horror movies ever made, the 1984 Wes Craven classic A Nightmare on Elm Street (watch it Here). And while Craven didn’t return to the helm for A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy’s Revenge, Haitkin did return to be the cinematographer on that sequel. Sadly, we have to share the news today that Jacques Haitkin is no longer with us. This news was broken on the Facebook account of filmmaker Tony Randel, who is best known for directing Hellbound: Hellraiser II and worked with Haitkin on Galaxy of Terror, Ticks, Fist of the North Star, Rattled, One Good Turn, and Assignment Berlin.
Randel posted, “I knew Jacques Haitkin practically my entire career. We met on a Roger Corman horror/sci-fi epic – Galaxy of Terror.

This is not a test, people. We have a Michael Bay alert! Make sure to say a prayer for the cars that are going to explode, the big guns that will be fired, the muscles that will need to be oiled up, and the cinematographer that will have to do so, so, so many slow-motion hero shots. All this to say, Michael Bay has a new film in development, titled “Ambulance,” and he’s looking at one of the best actors in the world to star.

On June 14th, prolific cult filmmaker Larry Cohen’s (It’s Alive, Maniac Cop) wonderfully eclectic horror comedy The Stuff will celebrate its 30th anniversary. Released during the heyday of Reaganomics, Cohen’s playful take on modern consumerism explored society’s growing compulsions for fast food and other potentially (or even directly) harmful products that we were all happily consuming without any real knowledge of just what we were putting inside our bodies. It may not be as well-known as some of its genre peers, but The Stuff has always been a favorite of mine, especially considering the amount of ambition and passion Cohen displays onscreen from start to finish.
The Stuff is centered around a mysterious, fluffy food product known only as, well, “The Stuff.” Discovered bubbling up from the grounds in a remote mining area, the highly addictive substance is quickly marketed out as pretty much the greatest...

Larry Cohen hasn’t directed a film since 1996 (Original Gangstas), but he’s stayed busy as a writer with thrillers like Phone Booth, Best Seller and Cellular. It’s a bit of a shame as the man’s directorial touch is usually a guarantee that a movie is going to be a fun ride — think It’s Alive, The Stuff, The Ambulance — and one of his best is 1982’s flying monster movie, Q the Winged Serpent. Scream Factory released the film to Blu-ray in 2013 complete with a new commentary track from Cohen, and we decided it was time to give it a spin. It was a smart decision as the track is a fun, informative and occasionally surprising listen. Keep reading to see what I heard on the commentary track for Q the Winged Serpent.
