2Nd Update: : International actuals are in from most of the studios with a few figure shifts. The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies came in higher than projected with a total $54M weekend and a cume of $504.65M. There’s also a new local movie record in fast-growing Vietnam — see the key market round-ups below for more on that one.

Final Update, Monday 4:49 Pm Pt: Across the Top 10 major studio releases internationally there’s reason for some holiday cheer. This weekend’s figures are up 19.4% over last frame with The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies leading the pack at $89M, plus strong perfs from Exodus: Gods And Kings in new key markets and the Night At The Museum finale. Still, that result is down from last year, largely due to the impact that Frozen was having on the season with a $50.5M take in the comparable frame. Five Armies in the estimates is also about 9.3% off from Smaug’s performance last year, but there are those nasty currency fluctuations to take into account.
Still, it a big weekend for local titles. Last frame’s Indian release Pk added Bollywood flair to the international box office with an offshore haul of $14.3M for a global cume of $61.46M.

Barring a break-out hit or at least several strong performers, the B.O. total of Australian films this calendar year is highly unlikely to match 2013.s $38.5 million.
Through last Sunday, 34 local films have racked up $16.03 million nationwide. That includes mostly small amounts earned this year by 19 titles that opened in 2013 or earlier.
While the local B.O. results should not be seen as the sole yardstick of any film.s global performance, the industry would have expected stronger ticket sales for David Michôd.s The Rover and last week.s opener, Zak Hilditch.s These Final Hours, while Rhys Graham.s Galore also underperformed.

By now, we all know that Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer have split after nine years of marriage, but what the nosy really want to know is how much the former Mrs. Crowe is getting from the divorce. The Sydney Morning Herald puts the estimate in the ballpark of $25 million -- and possibly more, once one factors in all of the glittering properties and assets the "Gladiator" actor has acquired over the years.
Here's a rough breakdown of the Crowe financial estate: a $50 million property portfolio, including a $14 million penthouse in Sydney and farmland in New South Wales; $3 million each for sons Charles, 8, and Tennyson, 6; and investments in Australia's Rabbitohs football club and Black Standard Beef production. Oh, and not to mention the $150 million the Oscar winner has earned over the past two decades.
While Spencer, a singer, will see a pretty penny through her divorce, it looks like much of it was preordained.

Sad news for Russell Crowe.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the actor, 48, and his wife of nine years, Australian singer Danielle Spencer, 43, have decided to separate after nine years of marriage. The pair, who married in April 2003 in a purpose-built chapel at Crowe's farm in South Wales, have two children together, sons Charles, 8, and Tennyson, 6.
Reportedly, the split is in part due to Crowe's busy film schedule, which has kept him away from his family in Sydney for most of the year. The Australian actor has six films coming out in the next 12 months, including "Man with the Iron Fists," "Les Miserables," "Broken City," "Man of Steel," "Noah" and "Winter's Tale."
The separation is said to be amicable and the couple's number one concern is raising their sons. Crowe will continue to shoot the biblical epic, "Noah," in the U.S. while Spencer will stay with the boys in Sydney.

Russell Crowe Back With Long-lost Love
The mystery over Russell Crowe's new girlfriend has been solved - he's back together with the "lost love" he first split with 12 years ago. And at Sunday's Golden Globes in Los Angeles, Crowe unveiled the secret woman who's stolen his heart, pretty Danielle Spencer, and even planted a kiss on her lips as he stepped up to claim his Best Actor prize. Crowe had a four-year relationship with Danielle, an Australian soap star and singer, but called an end to the relationship when he left his adopted home country to seek fame in Hollywood. But, having conquered the movie world, Crowe realized the one thing missing from his life was Danielle's love. He threw himself into rekindling their passion and eventually succeeded late last year. He then bought a stunning love-nest in Sydney and Danielle moved in with him in December. Earlier this month, the New Zealand-born star, when asked about his latest relationship in an American interview, responded, "It's somebody I've known for a very long time. And we're just together. It's as simple as that, you know." And the pair certainly have a history together - Danielle appeared alongside Crowe in his first starring role in The Crossing, back in 1990. She also supported Crowe's rock group 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts last summer, and accompanied him to last year's Oscars.
