Not until their unsuccessful 2001 release of Square Pictures' Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001), as far as theatrical efforts are concerned. However, its sister studio, TriStar, released Pound Puppies and the Legend of Big Paw (1988) in 1988 to little critical or financial attention. It remained their only such production until 2001's The Trumpet of the Swan (2001).
