Underestimated WW II movie

A more known movie in 1986 is 'The Assault' winner of an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. The attention for this movie hides 'In de schaduw van de Overwinning' as also a very good movie. The movie sketches three ways to survive the war, 1. resistance by force (Jeroen Krabbe), 2. resistance by trying to deceiving (Edwin de Vries), 3. getting rich by dealing with both sites (Rijk de Gooijer).

The different ways of approaching the war are nicely depicted. The movie is loosely based on historic figures: Jeroen Krabbe ~ Gerrit-Jan van der Veer, Edwin de Vries ~ Friederich Weinreb. In the movie there stories are mixed, but in reality they never met. Nice movie a visit worth.
