Steiner's hair changes from mousy and unkempt, to darker and neatened several times throughout the movie.
When Mickey Delano and Akashi are driving with the yakuza punk dead in the back seat, the sky is gray. Then in the very next scene, when they dump the body of the slain yakuza member outside the yakuza house, the sky is blue. Then when they are back in the car, driving and talking, the sky is gray again.
After Akashi shoots the yakuza punk in Mickey's garden, Mickey says "that's not the one who killed your brother", but it was stated earlier that it was Akashi's sister who was killed by the yakuza, he told Mickey that he was her brother.
