A veteran producer of international co-productions and high-end drama series — see the Emmy-nominated The Pillars of the Earth with Matthew Macfadyen and Eddie Redmayne or the pan-European crime series Crossing Lines with the late, great Donald Sutherland — Bauer has been building up Amazon’s slate of international English-language originals since 2022.
Her upcoming slate includes the heist thriller Haven, starring Sophie Turner, Jacob Fortune Lloyd and Archie Madekwe; the family drama The Girlfriend with Robin Wright and Olivia Cooke; and the thriller Lazarus, a psychological mystery from Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst that follows a forensic pathologist, played by Sam Claflin, who becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of his father’s death (played by Bill Nighy) and the murder of his sister (Utopia‘s Alexandra Roach) 25 years ago. On the lighter side, Bauer’s division has also greenlit a new comedy series by and starring Riz Ahmed.

Nick wades into another stack of DVD releases, including 80s action epic Remo: Unarmed And Dangerous, and lots more besides...
"Whatever happened to Fred Ward?" is a line surely on the tip of most people’s tongues. Apparently, the star of Tremors and The Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult has mostly been doing TV work over the last few years, though you’ll almost certainly remember him as the charismatic star of 1985’s Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. No? Well, shame on you, because Remo, making a welcome Blu-Ray debut, leads this month’s action-packed, erm, action special.
If you weren’t one of the lucky few that grew up with the preposterous movie otherwise known as Remo: Unarmed And Dangerous punctuating their childhood, we’ll fill you in. Riding on the success of the Rambo films (essentially, the only tenuous link being the vaguely similar name), Bond director...

With AMC's "The Walking Dead" regularly trouncing the broadcast networks in ratings these days, it's no surprise that everyone's looking to get into business with the show's executive producer Gale Anne Hurd. The most recent network to get into business with Hurd is FX, who according to Deadline have put a new project from her and Universal Cable Productions called "Crash and Burn" into development. Loosely inspired by Kevin Conley's 2009 nonfiction book "The Full Burn: On the Set, at the Bar, Behind the Wheel, and Over the Edge with Hollywood Stuntmen," "Crash and Burn" is a period drama about Doc Dixon, who works as a stuntman in the '70s in.

The Eleventh Commandment, the best-selling book series by Jeffery Archer, is getting its very own television adaptation. Fortunately, its getting the treatment by one of the most successful sci-fi/action producers in the industry: Gale Anne Hurd. Her portfolio includes work on projects like The Terminator and The Walking Dead, so hopefully her involvement insures that The Eleventh Commandment gets a TV show it deserves.
