This series really brings back lots of childhood memories. Jack Vincent and his gang are no saints (most of them are convicts after all), but you can find courage and true friendship in them. The Rivalry between Jack and Harry is so intense throughout the entire play. Each episode delivers fascinating adventure, encounters with sea traders, stranded white people, natives along with the exotic scenery that captures your imagination. The Depiction of Maori culture is authentic, largely contributed by Maori leader Sir Pat Hohepa. Last but not least, I was so touched by the theme music, pleasantly soothing.
