Following his appearance in the first season of the Daredevil: Born Again revival-of-sorts (premiering Tuesday, March 4), Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle aka The Punisher will headline a Marvel Studios’ Special Presentation à la Werewolf by Night and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.

Last year, Charles Band’s company Full Moon announced that they were launching a new production label called Pulp Noir, which would focus on “edgier, weirder, darker horror and dark fantasy films.” Two Pulp Noir movies, Quadrant and Death Streamer, have since made their way through production – and while those movies were initially released in color, all of the Pulp Noir movies will also get black & white “noir” releases, so there are both color and black & white versions of Quadrant and Death Streamer available on the Full Moon Features streaming service. While we wait for more Pulp Noir movies to be made, Band has started going through the Full Moon library to give some of their older films the black & white / noir treatment. Earlier this month, a “noir” version of the 1984 sci-fi thriller Christmas classic Trancers was released through Full Moon Features and YouTube. Now, a trailer has been released...

In his second major TV role since Succession ended its four-season run — and his first since that Super Bowl Sunday Dunkin’ commercial — Emmy winner and Academy Award nominee Jeremy Strong is set to star in a Netflix adaptation of The Boys From Brazil, from The Crown creator Peter Morgan.

Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man Secret ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Andrew Garfield isn’t into lying, but for No Way Home, he mastered it, even tricking Emma Stone about his return.
“Emma kept on texting me,” Garfield shared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Her texts? Straight to the point: “Are you in this new Spider-Man film?” His replies? Total denial. “I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’” Stone didn’t let up. “Shut up, just tell me,” she demanded. Garfield played it cool: “Honestly, don’t know what…”
Having seen the film, Stone had just one thing to say: “You’re a jerk.”

The older I get the more I appreciate and connect with Werewolf of London. It is a movie that does not follow the established rules of werewolf movies because it was created in a time before those rules were written. Many, if not most, of the most notable and enduring films of the subgenre deal in externalizing the internal struggles of the young using the metaphor of the beast within. Most of these characters are breaking away from their parents and childhoods, seeking to make their own way in the world.
Though Larry Talbot in The Wolf Man (1941) appears in the mature body of Lon Chaney, Jr., he is in many ways an angsty teenager tormented by the conflicting feelings of simultaneously falling in love for the first time while part of himself that he cannot control wishes to ravage her and tear her to shreds in the process. The McU's Multiverse Saga has received mixed reviews from fans, with most of them leaning toward the negative end of the spectrum.
While I do agree that many projects that've come out since Avengers: Endgame haven't been as strong, I still have faith that the MCU will once again be on the right track. One way they could right themselves is by focusing on more of the supernatural characters that abound in Marvel Comics, and no other character would do that than the Macabre Man-Thing!
Who is Man-Thing?
Man-Thing first appeared in the Marvel Magazine Savage Tales #1 in May of 1971, and was created by Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway, and Gray Morrow. Savage Tales was a line of black and white magazines that implemented a myriad of writers and artists to come up with stories with various characters that were established, such as Conan the Barbarian, behind-the-scenes facts about films,...

Werewolf movies have been a staple of horror for decades, embodying the primal fear of losing control and becoming a beast. Whether it’s the gothic tragedy of The Wolf Man (1941) or the groundbreaking practical effects of An American Werewolf in London (1981), these films have cemented themselves as cultural icons.
But here’s the thing about werewolf movies—they rarely go stale. Even the bad ones have a certain charm, tapping into the visceral thrill of seeing humans transform into monsters under the glow of a full moon. There’s something timeless about this subgenre, whether it leans into campy B-movie territory, deep psychological horror, or full-throttle gore.
With Wolf Man (2025) now in theaters (and not doing too well), it feels like the perfect time to take a closer look at some of the most notable werewolf films from the 2010s to today. As someone who loves this genre so...

It’s been said that all monster movies fit into at least one of three categories. Werewolf movies play on the notion that within every man lives a beast waiting to be unleashed. Vampire films tap into our collective fear of the unknown, which can encompass everything from the threat of disease to the perception of strangers as potential predators. And Frankenstein stories explore the risks when man plays God, creating life and facing the consequences.
Blumhouse’s shrewd 2020 reboot of the classic Universal horror film “The Invisible Man” cleverly played off the latter two, as Elisabeth Moss embodied a woman trying to escape an abusive relationship with a mad scientist. Directed by Leigh Whannell, the low-budget thriller was so successful that Universal rushed to adapt other titles from its classic monsters catalog, imagining a “Dark Universe” series that would update — and eventually connect — them all.

Andrew Garfield is denying rumors that he is set to appear in “Spider-Man 4” with Tom Holland to reprise his role from the “Amazing Spider-Man” films and 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
In a GQ UK interview published Thursday, the actor acknowledged that fans might be skeptical of his denial, given his past history with Marvel movies.
“I’m going to disappoint you. Yeah, no,” Garfield said when asked about the “Spider-Man 4” rumors. “But I know no one’s going to trust anything I say from now on.”
In 2021, Garfield followed Marvel’s notoriously strict code of omertà and repeatedly said he wouldn’t be in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” — but then surprised audiences by appearing alongside fellow Spider-Men Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire in the film, which went on to earn $1.9 billion worldwide.
Regarding potential future franchise roles, Garfield explained he’d consider it if it felt meaningful and enjoyable.

The Multiverse Saga has been an extensive chapter for Marvel Studios, full of highs and lows. Although a lot of people have been harsh on the franchise due to some of its shortcomings, it is understandable to see why the studio struggled so much this time around; because when you introduce more characters, storylines, and universes, there are far more opportunities to get it right... and also far more to get it wrong. And boy did they introduce plenty of new characters.
Among the new additions this saga have been Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Agatha Harkness, Monica Rambeau, Moon Knight, Layla El-Faouly, Billy and Tommy Maximoff, Kate Bishop, Yelena Belova, Wolverine and more. It's all been about introducing a new generation of heroes into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, adapting characters the franchise had not yet managed to adapt, and presenting them all as major players in the Multiverse Saga.

A couple of leaked screenshots from The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell's Wolf Man reboot have found their way online (via Reddit), and they reveal our first glimpse of the movie's other werewolf.
Our first look at what was assumed to be the titular Wolfman via an actor in a costume at Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights was met with a lot of backlash, but the most recent trailer appeared to confirm that this will be the creature responsible for the initial attack, leaving Christopher Abbott's Blake to change into a different beast altogether.
Whannell addressed the negative response during an interview with NME.
“The marketing department for a movie is so huge,” he said, “it’s really impossible to keep tabs on every single thing. So when something comes out that maybe the internet decides they don’t like, the only thing I can think is: ‘Well,...

Werewolves seem to be going through a bit of a comeback. From The Wolfman to The Beast Within, it certainly feels like there’s more happening within the subgenre than ever before. Yet they do often feel very…samey. They often involve a man being bitten by a mysterious creature and then having to fight the urges of his werewolf counterpart. This is why it’s so exciting that we’re finally getting a film involving Werewolves that breaks the mold and does something different. And boy oh boy is it different. With an entire planet filled with Werewolves and practical FX that are sure to satisfy, this is the Werewolf movie we’ve always wanted. You can check out my glowing review of Werewolves Here.

Review: It feels like werewolves are going through a bit of a resurgence. It may not be as crazy as slashers in the early 80s or zombie films in the 2000s, but it’s hard to deny. From The Beast Within, Werewolves Within, to The Wolf Man, lycanthropic endeavors seem on the rise. And who better to lead some Werewolf mayhem than action star extraordinaire, Frank Grillo! In Werewolves, a supermoon event turned anyone who touched moonlight into a werewolf one year prior. Billions of people died and it was a global tragedy. Now, the Supermoon is back and the world must prepare for the monster mayhem to come.

Marvel Studios' Moon Knight premiered on Disney+ in 2022 and, unfortunately, ended up being largely overshadowed during what proved to be another jam-packed year for the MCU both in theaters and on streaming.
The series, while not perfect, received a largely positive response but the character hasn't been seen since.
Doing press for Moon Knight, lead star Oscar Isaac confirmed on multiple occasions that he only signed up for a single season, meaning a new deal will need to be negotiated if the story of Marc Spector/Steven Grant/Jake Lockley is to continue.
Has that finally happened? According to insider @MyTimeToShineH, the current plan is for Moon Knight to return in the next Avengers movies (Doomsday and/or Secret Wars) and that long-rumoured Midnight Suns movie.
Had Kang still been the Multiverse Saga's big bad, chances are Moon Knight would have been going one-on-one with the villain's Rama-Tut Variant. What...

Agatha All Along has taken Marvel viewers deeper into the mystical and eerie corners of the MCU, with Agatha Harkness at the center of some truly terrifying supernatural events. This chilling series depicts Agathas journey to regain her powers, exploring the forces of dark magic, and the power struggles within the magical community. Full of ominous spells, dark rituals, and unexpected apparitions, the show has delivered some of the scariest scenes in the MCUs timeline.
Agatha All Along might not be the MCUs first foray into the horror genre, but it might be the most effective. While we anxiously wait to hear what Zombie’s going to do next, we have decided to take a look back at all of the movies he has made, from House of 1000 Corpses to The Munsters, to put together a list of some of the Best Scenes from Rob Zombie movies to date.
House Of 1000 Corpses (2003): Home Visit

There have been rumblings that Marvel Studios is developing a Midnight Sons movie revolving around the McU's supernatural heroes for several years now.
Werewolf by Night opened the door to exploring that corner of this shared world when it introduced us to Jack Russell and Man-Thing, while a few different projects have confirmed the existence of vampires. We also have Agatha All Along, a series delving into witchcraft and one that's potentially going to introduce characters like Mephisto and Death.
Moon Knight is another character who would fit nicely into Midnight Sons, though Blade is arguably the project that's most likely to lay the groundwork for any sort of supernatural team-up.
Yesterday, we learned that Blade is no longer set to be released next November. With it now undated, it feels like a matter of time before Mahershala Ali leaves the reboot due to "creative differences" or "scheduling issues."
No one wants that to happen,...

New fan art of Keanu Reeves as Ghost Rider gives the actor his dream superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Reeves has gone through a career renaissance thanks to the John Wick franchise. The movie series has cemented Reeves' potential as an action star, and while the McU's Punisher role, which would have been perfect for the actor, is already taken by Jon Bernthal, Reeves' Marvel dream role is Ghost Rider. The actor has wanted to play the character since he was a kid, and the MCU could make it happen.
On Instagram, @21xfour shared fan art of Keanu Reeves as the McU's Ghost Rider, bringing the star's childhood Marvel dream role to life.

Werewolf By Night, Marvel Studios' first ever Special presentation, debuted on Disney+ in 2022, and opened the door to a whole new corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that's yet to be further explored.
The black-and-white Halloween Special really was a first for the franchise, paying homage to the classic Universal monster movies with its noirish style, creepy atmosphere and heightened levels of violence.
Werewolf By Night introduced several new characters such as Elsa Bloodstone (Laura Donnelly) Ted, aka Man-Thing (Carey Jones), and the titular lycanthrope himself, Jack Russell (Gael García Bernal), and fans have been eager for an update on their potential return.
Director Michael Giacchino previously confirmed that discussions about doing more with the characters have taken place, but it sounds like any plans for a follow-up episode have been put on the back-burner.

In an era dominated by larger-than-life superhero flicks, sometimes a change of pace works like a charm. Marvel Studios learnt that with its first ever special, Werewolf by Night, a 53-minute long movie (some believe that it borders between the idea of a movie and a show).
Starring the likes of Gael Garcia Bernal, Laura Donnelly, Kirk Thatcher, and Harriet Sansom Harris, the special was held in high regard by both fans and critics. Given its reception, it did not come as a surprise that people want more of it. And director Michael Giacchino might have the positive update all of us were waiting for.

As Marvel continues to expand its cinematic universe, several types of magic now exist in the MCU. Most have their own visual designs that allow them to be distinguished from the rest, while their abilities and power levels are typically unique to each other. But what makes them different, and which is the most powerful magic in the MCU?
Over the years, the importance of magic has changed quite a bit in the MCU. Not only is it the primary weapon of Doctor Strange and the Masters of the Mystic Arts, but its also become an important plot device in a number of Marvel projects. In addition to the Doctor Strange movies, its been a factor in the Thor franchise, WandaVision, and Eternals.
It turned out to be a part of the story for Disney+s Moon Knight show too, weaponized by Ethan Hawkes Arthur Harrow against Oscar Isaacs Steven Grant.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers for “It’s What’s Inside,” now streaming on Netflix.
Writer and director Greg Jardin’s debut feature, “It’s What’s Inside,” is a body-swapping mystery. Yet Jardin had his own out-of-body experience the day the movie started an intense bidding war at Sundance in January.
“It’s still surreal now,” he says. “We made the movie in a bit of a bubble, $2.5 million independent, just with hopes that someone would buy it at a festival. Getting into Sundance alone was awesome. And then our first offer came in 24 hours after our premiere, and the offer started at $5 million, which was double our budget. I was like, ‘Man, this is incredible.'”
But the buzz around Park City kept growing.
“It was my first experience,” he says. “With any of that stuff, there’s essentially a bidding war that lasted about 36 hours. I was in meetings with our financiers and sales agent.

If there’s one thing movies have taught us it’s you should never, ever be alone in a house. Heck, even with other people. You’re just going to get haunted, or you’re going to get slashed, or at the very least your place will be an absolute mess in the morning and you’ll have to tell your parents what really happened. So go outside, dang it! You’re more likely to star in a romantic comedy if you’re not trapped in an isolated mansion on a dark and gloomy night, making side-eyes at your old college friends who secretly hate you or want you dead.
Then again, if you do stay inside, you might as well watch Greg Jardin’s engrossingly mean-spirited “It’s What’s Inside,” which takes the familiar setup — we sure are alone in this house and nothing bad could possibly happen to us...

Premiering at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, It’s What’s Inside seemed to come a bit out of nowhere. Despite its prime positioning in the Midnight section during the first weekend of the fest, the high-concept thriller features no big stars and no huge special effects. It popped off the screen in a big way, delighting festivalgoers and landing a big sale to Netflix only days later. Written and directed by Greg Jardin, this is a deceptively small film that relies heavily on old-fashioned tropes: an engaging mystery, some nifty editing, and a good score.
Ahead of this Friday’s release on Netflix, I spoke with Jardin about his long road to directorial success, the fast-paced aesthetic built from years of making music videos, working with a completed score on set, and pushing for Giallo-inspired lighting alongside grounded character motivations.

I agree with Marvel Studios' Brad Winderbaum that the best Ghost Rider to bring into the MCU would be one we've never seen in live-action before. Ghost Rider's MCU debut has been heavily rumored for quite some time, especially since Marvel Studios has been putting more emphasis on supernatural stories and characters in recent years. I've loved seeing the development of Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night, Agatha Harkness and more, but Ghost Rider is one of my favorite Marvel heroes, so his possible introduction has me very excited.
In Marvel Comics' history, there have been six core characters who have become the Spirit of Vengeance in Earth-616 and assumed the title of Ghost Rider. Perhaps the most notable is Johnny Blaze, the first in-publication Ghost Rider, who debuted 1972. However, Marvel Studios' Head of Streaming, Television and Animation Brad Winderbaum has revealed a different iteration of the hero he wants to bring into the MCU,...

As The Multiverse Saga marches towards its end with Avengers: Secret Wars, the rumor mill has reported that the MCU might be looking to dive into its horror and supernatural characters after it wraps up its current saga. This has been cited as the reason by the Blade project is taking so much time to get off the ground, given that Marvel Studios allegedly wants the character to be the face of this upcoming saga.
Blade || Credit: Marvel Comics
There are some learnings from the Multiverse Saga that the MCU should carry over into the Supernatural Saga. There are also some very fun projects that can make their way into this phase of the MCU. However, newly established characters who are supposed to get their chance to be in the spotlight might fall through the cracks, such that the focus shifts towards other characters that are more horror-oriented in the MCU.

In the early days of American comic books, back in the 20th century, there was just one narrative and one fictional universe. This single-universe approach lasted for decades until publishers began exploring “alternative stories,” giving rise to the concept of the multiverse. Over time, the multiverse idea has not only become a key feature in comic books but also a staple in superhero films.
The Multiverse itself is so complex that even characters within it sometimes struggle to grasp its intricacies. In the MCU, the fabric of a single reality began to fray at the end of the Infinity Saga, leading into the current Multiverse Saga.
As we know, the Multiverse Saga will eventually conclude, with Secret Wars marking its end. However, the MCU will continue beyond Secret Wars, prompting us to wonder: what’s next for Marvel? An insider may have some insights into the direction Marvel is headed!

Two heroes born of different worlds but united under one cause, Elsa Bloodstone and the Werewolf by Night, Jack Russell, are an unsuspecting romantic pairing who have given it a shot before. Elsa is a monster hunter who loves her work, while Jack is a monster who hates what he is. Despite their obvious opposition, the two have shown sparks over the years, and now they have a chance to try again.
Werewolf by Night (2024) by Jason Loo and Sergio Fernndez Dvila is a new and ongoing series that sees the King of All Wolves adjust to the Marvel Universes constant changes to its many monsters.
The recently-concluded Blood Hunt event saw the world cast in endless darkness and the Mother of Horrors is exerting her powers to kill the Hulk. Caught in between, Jack has been struggling to keep control and is waking up to bloody massacres even without the full moon.

James Darren, the former teen idol and pop singer who played the dreamy surfer Moondoggie in three Gidget movies before starring on television on The Time Tunnel and T.J. Hooker, died Monday. He was 88.
Darren died in his sleep at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, his son Jim Moret, a correspondent for Inside Edition, told The Hollywood Reporter. He had entered the hospital for an aortic valve replacement but was deemed too weak to have the surgery; he went home but had to return.

Early in his career, the dark-haired Darren received excellent notices for starring in Let No Man Write My Epitaph (1960) — portraying the son of a hoodlum defended by Humphrey Bogart’s character in 1949’s Knock on Any Door — and for playing the Greek soldier Spyros Pappadimos in The Guns of Navarone...
