After Nathan (Claude Akins) attacks Zack (Wil Wheaton) with a pipe wrench, he chases Zack around the kitchen table and then trips over a chair. Then Cyrus (Malcolm Danare) picks up Alice (Amy Wheaton) and throws her on the bed, and Zack suddenly appears in the bedroom doorway with a baseball bat in his hands, the chase with Nathan apparently over.
When the meteorite hits the ground the metal arm connected to it can be seen on the left.
About 45 minutes in,the young lady goes into the kitchen with a head of cabbage and some tomatoes. When she cuts the cabbage, in a close up, there is slime and goo on the inside. When the camera zooms out the cabbage is clean.
In the final credits, Wil Wheaton's given name is spelled as Will instead of the correct spelling, Wil.
When Esther is walking across the bedroom in her high heels and lingerie, the Foley effect used makes it sound like she's walking across a bare floor. In actuality, she is walking across a shag carpet which would have an entirely different sound.
Near the film's climax, the family farm is enveloped in 'fog'. The house is revealed as a miniature when a crewman's arm and a bucket of dry ice pop out from the left side of the model.
When Zachary looks out of his bedroom window at the glowing meteorite, the cameraman is reflected in the window.
When Zach is filling his canteen at Dr. Forbes house, Forbes and his wife are in their bedroom. A boom mic is visible in the mirror above their bed.
