sure this isn't the best film I've ever seen but many props are given simply for tackling the issues that the film makers do. The beleifs in the film are ones, that in this day and age, often bashed. It is the true taboo and stands above others in regards to originality and lack of pretense.
This is a well-intentioned film, but ultimately, it falls a little short. There is nothing wrong with the writing or acting, and the film moves along at a decent pace, but somehow it kept me from genuinely caring about the central characters...probably because the final result was fairly obvious from the start. I have to give high marks for the effort, but I just can't give the movie a passing grade.
