It’s that time of year when family favorites of the holiday season are played repeatedly on TV. Movies like Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Elf, A Christmas Story and The Santa Clause are on heavy rotations. Even though the movie is as popular as ever (complete with brand-new merchandise released decades after its premiere), Succession star Kieran Culkin revealed recently that he actually had not allowed his children to watch Home Alone, which stars his brother Macaulay and features him in a small role.

You might ask, “But why?” Is it because he doesn’t want his children to see him guzzle down Pepsi with the implication that he’ll wet the bed? The explanation is actually much simpler and more sensible. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Culkin would tell E! News that “there’s still some scary parts” for his young children.

The now 42-year-old actor’s first job was 1990′s Home Alone, playing the younger brother Fuller McCallister to his real life older brother’s Macaulay Culkin‘s Kevin McCallister. They then reprised their roles a couple years later in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.

Good tidings Freeform brings, as the network celebrates the adored seasonal tradition of 25 Days of Christmas. The programming event returns to spread holiday cheer starting on Sunday, December 1.

A delightful collection of Christmas favorites is being offered to make spirits bright, including Home Alone, The Santa Clause trilogy, and Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). It’s November 1, and Freeform is already ready to start spreading holiday cheer.

The network released its 25 Days of Christmas schedule Friday, revealing all the programming coming up in December. There’s something for everyone, with things kicking off at 7 a.m. and extending through at least midnight every day from December 1 to 25.

The lineup includes classics like the Home Alone films, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, the Santa Clause movies, Miracle on 34th Street and multiple versions of The Grinch.

There’s also some non-holiday films sprinkled in, including Moana and Toy Story.

And, as always, Freeform has a few network premieres planned, including one for Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You on December 1, after which it’ll repeatedly air through Christmas Day. Dashing Through the Snow and Santa’s Little Helper are also getting a Freeform debut on December 8.

Former President of the United States and "Home Alone 2" actor Donald Trump isn't happy about how he's portrayed in the explosive new biopic "The Apprentice." The movie, which stars Sebastian Stan as Trump, takes a searing look at Trump's real-estate career in New York in the 1970s and 1980s, and though it's not exactly clear if Trump has seen the film, he does not like it.

Los Angeles, Feb 15 (Ians) Actress Kate Hudson has revealed that her appearance in ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’, which released in 1992, still pays her residuals, even if she’s only earning a dime.

Kate was speaking on her podcast Sibling Revelry, hosted with her brother, Oliver Hudson, reports deadline.com.

During a conversation on her podcast, Kate discussed her credits with Joey Lawrence, Matthew Lawrence, and Andy Lawrence.

“I still get residuals from ‘Home Alone 2’ because I sang in the chorus,” Kate said, referencing the scene where Macaulay Culkin’s Kevin McAllister ruins a school Christmas pageant.

“I’m in that chorus, and then I get 10 cents every once in a while.”

Joey Lawrence knows the feeling.

“Sometimes I’ll get, like, 2 cents and I’m like, ‘Wait. Doesn’t the envelope and paper cost more?’”

If you forgot, the Schitt’s Creek actress played Macaulay Culkin‘s mom in the franchise. That means that her character lived in the iconic Home Alone house.

There have been a lot of questions about the home over the years, especially after a recent analysis revealed that it would have cost a sizeable fortune.

“Nothing could be further from the truth,” Trump said on social media on Wednesday. “That cameo helped make the movie a success. But if they felt bullied, or didn’t want me, why did they put me in, and keep me there for over 30 years?”

Trump said he was begged to appear, but was “very busy” at the time and “didn’t want to do it.” But the filmmakers were “persistent,” so he agreed.

Trump has been accused of applying a quid pro quo for the filming at his Plaza Hotel.
