Casualties of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story (1993)

Trivia

Casualties of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story

Edit
Another version of the story, The Amy Fisher Story (1993) starring Drew Barrymore as Fisher was released the same night, airing on ABC and CBS respectively. Both Barrymore and Alyssa Milano starred in Poison Ivy (1992) and Poison Ivy II (1996) respectively.
Of the three made-for-TV Amy Fisher movies shown during 1992-93, this was the only one to be filmed in the USA.
With this film, Alyssa Milano shed her good-girl persona.
This movie softens what actually happened, and makes it look like Joey was a great husband/family man. In reality, Joey DID have an affair with the 16 year old Amy, and plead guilty to statutory rape and served 4 months in prison for it. And his wife eventually divorced him as well, rather than what was portrayed here as her just believing his innocence and being happy he's off the hook.
The $600 that Amy paid the hit-man in 1991, would be worth $1428 in 2025.
