For many Marco Ferreri's films, I'm sure, are boring. They are not action films, they are dialogue films, meaning a lot of talking. A lot of inner, spiritual introspection. But, for me, they are very attractive and comical. Even this "Diary of a Maniac", which is not one of his best films, is nice, funny, comical. The scene with the "sexual interview" given to the girl called Marina in the hospital is nice. The scene with the pregnant prostitute who, when asked how she is, replies that she just threw up, is also nice. The actress who plays her, Laetitia Laneri, also looks amazing, even so, a little bit pregnant. Also very funny is the scene on the bus, with the girl who had typhus when she was little, when Benito tells her that she has beautiful hair and wants to touch it. The scene with the newspaper and magazine woman seller, there with her inside the kiosk, is also very cool. Sabrina Ferilli looks great, especially she has a splendid ass.

Marco Ferreri's "Diary of..." probably isn't one of his best work. Made on a low budget, movie overflows with a feeling of stylistic freedom. The story is told in short flashes, which the hero reads from his diary. Benito lives in cheap rented rooms and makes a humiliating living peddling toilet-bowl detergent. Despite having a beautiful, sexually insatiable girlfriend Luigia (Sabrina Ferilli) who's crazy about him, Benito can't resist constant, casual affairs with women of all descriptions and ages. Pic is a visual pleasure (thanks to irresistible Sabrina Ferilli) and music background is nice but scenario is very weak. Definitely, it's a movie for one boring afternoon... 4/10
