The scene in which Alessandra Martines dances totally naked in the courtrooms in front of a group of people was filmed in the old courthouse of Vieux-Lyon.
The scene in which Fabrice Luchini, Francis Huster, Alessandra Martines and Marie-Sophie L. are in a tent on top of Mont Blanc, was entirely improvised. During it, Luchini incites Martines, scandalized, to make a "turlute" (blowjob) to Huster, who is clearly not very comfortable. The scene, which Claude Lelouch describes as an example of libertinism, sees the director himself behind the camera.
French director Claude Lelouch married Italian actress Alessandra Martines in 1993 and cast her in this film. He convinced her to film her first nude scenes, including dancing fully naked in front of a crowded room full of mostly men.
Claude Lelouch stars his former wife Christine Lelouch (under the name Christine Barbelivien), his former partner Évelyne Bouix and their daughter Salomé Lelouch, his wife at the time Marie-Sophie L. and his future wife Alessandra Martines.
