Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter is by no means a simple story. It has a complex plot and beautiful world-building that can rival popular manga like One Piece.
There is a possibility that Togashi is actually hiding the biggest secret of them all from not just readers of the manga but also from the characters of the series itself. And when the big secret will finally be out in the open, it might even eclipse the ending of One Piece.

An epic new kaiju story is coming in January 2025, as Behemoth tells the story of what it's like to be eaten by a gigantic monster. Described as a "David vs Goliath story," Behemoth will follow a group of bus passengers who find themselves literally inside a Godzilla-sized monstrosity after their subway car is devoured whole. Now, they'll have to take on the ferocious kaiju from the inside to have any hope of survival.
Behemoth brings together two writers with immense experience of writing kaiju stories, with Ryan Engle (writer of 2018's giant ape movie Rampage) and Grant Sputore, the director of an upcoming show set in Godzilla x Kong's Monsterverse. However, this time they're not following the giant monster, but rather the people who have to scramble to survive its humongous appetite. The four-issue series is coming from Dark Horse Comics.

How do we know what music is actually good? Many fans look to critics. Sure, some might label music journalism as irrelevant in assigning value to art, but the reality is, critics do at least partly contribute to the consensus on the quality of music. That’s why, whether it is during a civilized conversation or the most rabid Twitter stan war, an album’s Metacritic score typically comes up. So award show voters must take those top albums more into consideration than others, right? To be a big awards player, doesn’t your album need to be somewhat acclaimed?
Let’s take a look at the past three Grammy ceremonies as examples. Since these are ceremonies with no nomination review committees involved, the results are a more accurate, unfiltered reflection of what voters think. According to Metacritic, anything below 81 is not “universally acclaimed,” so that’s how I’ll sort it out.

Star Trek: First Contact's Borg Queen death nearly made Voyager omit the Borg altogether, but the show still managed to incorporate them. Voyager's creative team debated the impact of the Borg Queen's death, but ultimately expanded Borg lore in the series. Voyager's later seasons thrived with Borg involvement, enhancing the show's villains, adding new characters like Seven of Nine, and evolving Borg storylines.
Star Trek: First Contact's events almost stopped the Borg from appearing in Star Trek: Voyager, but luckily, the show was still able to use the Borg in later seasons. First Contact premiered during the airing of Voyager season 3 and was one of the more well-received movies focusing on the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Meryl Streep reveals that she is taking a meeting about Mamma Mia! 3 soon. Streep says that "I want to do it" if a return is possible. There are plenty of ways Streep's character Donna could be incorporated into a new Mamma Mia! movie.
Mamma Mia! 3 has received an optimistic update from star Meryl Streep. Streep played the role of single mother Donna Sheridan in the 2008 movie adaptation of the hit stage musical, which used the Abba songbook to tell the story of a young woman who invites three possible fathers to her wedding. Ten years after its release, the cast - including Streep - reunited for a sequel, subtitled Here We Go Again. While the possible Mamma Mia! 3 was announced to be in development as of 2020, subsequent updates on the sequel have left its fate unclear.

Switzerland has won the Eurovision Song Contest.
Swiss entry Nemo stormed the contest with the song “The Code,” walking away with 591 points — a combination of a jury vote and public vote.
But during Nemo’s victory performance at the end of the four-hour show the singer accidentally dropped the microphone-shaped glass trophy, injuring their thumb in the process.
“I didn’t just break ‘The Code’ I also broke the trophy,” said Nemo during the press conference after the show, where their hand was wrapped in a bandage. “I broke my thumb as well. But I got a new [trophy] so I technically have two now.”
The non-binary singer — who is the first Swiss Eurovision winner since Celine Dion won in 1988 — was presented with the trophy by last year’s winner, Swedish singer Loreen.

Exclusive: The upcoming Abba feature, which will air on 14 broadcasters including the BBC and CW, is an attempt to give the global superstars the Asif Kapadia-style doc treatment for the first time while combatting “Anglo-American” snobbery, according to its director.
James Rogan said previous docs about Abba have been “lovely, full of joy and in the style of the arts programing of the late nineties and noughties,” while his team wanted to hand the show a modern narrative treatment, seen in the work of auteurs like Amy and Senna director Kapadia.

Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour has said that he’s open to the idea of a Pink Floyd hologram show, à la Abba Voyage, but only under a “series of very, very difficult and onerous conditions.”
The comments came in a new interview with Uncut, ahead of Gilmour’s first new album in nearly a decade, Luck and Strange (due on September 6th). Revealing that he and his wife, Polly Samson, had been invited to watch the Abba Voyage show, the guitarist explained that he wasn’t quite blown away with the visuals of the hologram format, but appreciated the music.
“If you were a determined Abba fan, you might enjoy it,” he said (per NME). “I thought the images of them were sort of Ok, but they weren’t ever going to convince me it was real. If you’re down the sort of mosh pit end of the...

Abba fans the world over yesterday celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Swedish supergroup’s Eurovision victory in 1974, and one crowd were treated to a surprise appearance by band member Bjorn Ulvaeus.
It was the group’s Eurovision triumph 50 years ago with their song Waterloo that kickstarted their phenomenal success, an event marked by Abba fans all across the world on Saturday with special events. The BBC, who hosted the event back in 1974 when it all began, gave over their BBC Two Channel to “Abba Night”, including a new documentary charting the band’s fortunes over the last five decades.
On stage in London, the cast celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Mamma Mia! musical, and then had one more treat for the audience – with the appearance of Bjorn Ulvaeus – one quarter of Abba, and one half of the band’s songwriting duo (along with Benny Andersson).

Kiss are the latest artists to sell off their music catalog — and, in this case, their well-known onstage personas and makeup — for big money.
The band — which closed out its (alleged) farewell tour in December 2023 — announced they have sold the rights to their music and imagery to Pophouse, the Swedish company that created the Abba Voyage hologram show and is working on a similar project involving Kiss.
While the price wasn’t revealed in a joint press release, Fortune reports that Kiss raked in upwards of $300 million in the sale.

In his vast career, William Shatner has directed five features. Three of them were documentaries about the making of "Star Trek" including "The Captains" in 2011, "Get a Life!" in 2012, and "Chaos on the Bridge" in 2014. Prior to these, Shatner also helmed a 2002 sci-fi film called "Groom Lake," which he co-wrote with the notorious "Star Trek" producer Maurice Hurley.
Shatner's highest-profile directing gig, however, came in 1989 with the release of "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier." To this day, "Star Trek V" is considered the least of the "Star Trek" movies, lambasted for its clunky script, weird central conceit, and cheap special effects. In the film, the U.S.S. Enterprise is hijacked by Sybok (Laurence Luckinbill), the half-brother of Spock (Leonard Nimoy). Sybok flies the ship to the very center of the galaxy where he hopes to meet God face-to-face. B'Elanna Torres' religious storyline in Star Trek: Voyager season 6 was dropped due to the show's anti-serialization approach. Voyager writer Bryan Fuller points out that the show could have benefitted from embracing serialized storytelling like DS9. Voyager's missed opportunity for more serialized storytelling may have impacted the show's overall quality.
Bryan Fuller explained how Star Trek: Voyager's biggest "weakness" led to a great Klingon storyline for B'Elanna Torres (Roxann Dawson) being dropped. Voyager was a dynamic addition to the Star Trek timeline with a diverse cast of interesting characters, including more female characters and characters of color than any other Star Trek series that had come before it. Included in both these categories was B'Elanna, whose main storyline revolved around the duality of her Klingon-Human heritage.
B'Elanna was the first half-Kligon main character to act as a lead for a Star Trek series, and this played a major role in her storylines throughout Voyager's run.

Both "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" and "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock" ended poorly for the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise. "Khan" did see the defeat of a vengeful villain and the reunion between Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) and his son David (Merritt Butrick), but it required the sacrifice of Spock (Leonard Nimoy) and the severe buffetting of the Enterprise itself. "Search" ended with the resurrection of Spock, but required the theft and the destruction of the Enterprise, as well as the death of David at the hands of vengeful Klingons. Spock was back, but Kirk was now a wanted criminal with no vessel to command.
It's no wonder, then, that the makers of "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" decided to affect a much lighter tone. "Voyage" saw the Enterprise crew, on board a clunky old Klingon vessel, traveling back in time to...

The first Kiss avatar concert is set to debut … in a few years. The band announced via a short teaser that “A Show Is Coming” in “2027.”
The 25-second clip features some audio snippets from excited Kiss fans, as well as a brief animation of the avatars that showcases some of their superpowers — in this case, Gene Simmons’ ability to fly with bat wings.
“50 years is a long time, and what the future holds is in the making,” reads the video’s title, in reference to the three years fans will have to wait before seeing the avatars in action.
Kiss announced plans for the avatar shows right at the end of their final concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City earlier this month. This came after Simmons had hinted that Kiss could continue on in another form after the current band members’ retirement from touring, implying that younger,...

It is so common to hear actors say they had a blast filming a movie that you're allowed to be cynical when they talk about how the cast became like a family. The big exception, of course, is the "Mamma Mia" movies. Every scene from the "Mamma Mia" movies exudes fun. Sure, they are not the most visually vibrant, and the scripts have the complexity of a paper airplane. That being said, it's hard not to get caught up in the excitement, the dancing, the burning passion exuding from Cher and Andy Garcia singing "Fernando."

The producer of Mamma Mia! is optimistic that a third movie will happen because everyone wants it, but she has been busy with a reality show and Abba members are focused on their reunion album. Universal Studios is on board for a third Mamma Mia! movie and the producer has a storyline in mind, but it could take time to convince Abba songwriters and producers Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. With the television show completed, the producer may now shift her focus to the movie, potentially celebrating the 25th anniversary of Mamma Mia! with its release.
Mamma Mia! 3 has gotten a majorly optimistic update from one of its primary producers. The original 2008 smash hit movie Mamma Mia! was based on the jukebox musical of the same name, which used music from the Abba songbook to bring to life the story of Sophie, a young woman who invites her three possible fathers to her wedding,...

The Last Voyage of the Demeter takes inspiration from Dracula: Untold, featuring a brutal and decaying Dracula design that deviates from traditional interpretations of the character. Both films depict vampires as carnivorous monsters rather than seductive beings, which sets them apart from other adaptations of Dracula. While the new Dracula film's Rotten Tomatoes score remains precariously bad, The Last Voyage of the Demeter may attract a passionate fanbase with its terrifying portrayal of Dracula and even make skeptics appreciate Dracula: Untold for its genre-subverting choices.
The Last Voyage of the Demeter took one good thing from a 2014 Rotten Tomatoes disaster. Focusing on the doomed voyage mentioned in just one chapter of Bram Stoker's horror classic Dracula, the movie expands on what happened during the vampire's sea passage from Transylvania to London, in which Dracula attacked the crew of the Demeter and sustained himself on their blood. The 31-year-old English singer left the band in 2020, citing the toll she said being in the band took on her mental health.

In an interview with The Sun on Monday (17 April), Nelson revealed that she hasn’t spoken to her former bandmates since she left Little Mix.

Nicholas Meyer's 1982 film "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan," Leonard Nimoy's 1984 film "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock," and his 1986 film "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home," which have been packaged as a trilogy, all take place over the span of maybe 18 months. The three movies tell a sprawling story, culminating in a somewhat triumphant ending in "The Voyage Home." But that ending is missing something: punishment.
In the first entry in the aforementioned trilogy, Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) is faced with, well, the wrath of Khan (Ricardo Montalbán), a mysterious figure from his past who returns to teach the Admiral about his irresponsible habit of forgetting his promises. Kirk left Khan alone on a distant planet, which, thanks to a solar cataclysm, was quickly reduced to a near-uninhabitable desert.

Mike Shinoda wouldn’t want to perform with a hologram of Linkin Park’s late lead vocalist Chester Bennington.
Bennington died by suicide in July 2017, and his death is, understandably, “a very sensitive subject,” Shinoda said.
In a new interview with 94.5 The Buzz, Shinoda shared when talking about performing with holograms: “I feel like those are creepy. Even if we weren’t talking about us, if we weren’t talking about Chester, which is a very sensitive subject, and we would have our feelings about how we would represent that.
“For me, that’s a clear no. I’m not into that.”

One of the most exciting directorial debuts of recent years is Helena Wittmann’s 2017 feature Drift, a formally audacious aquatic journey. The German filmmaker returned to the festival circuit last year, at Locarno and the New York Film Festival, with her follow-up Human Flowers of Flesh, which proved a natural extension of her transportive cinematic interests in the sea while greatly expanding her canvas. Ahead of a theatrical release from Cinema Guild release beginning at Metrograph on April 14––alongside a full retrospective of Wittmann’s work, including Drift, 4 short films, and a live performance piece––we’re pleased to exclusively debut the new trailer and poster.
Here’s the official synopsis: “Human Flowers of Flesh follows, Ida (Dogtooth’s Angeliki Papoulia), who, after a stirring encounter with the French Foreign Legion sets sail with her own corps of five men, none of whom speak the same language, to trace the route of this fabled troop.

Abba staged their first concert in 42 years in hologram form at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (grab tickets to upcoming shows here) last May, and now the Swedish pop legends are ready to take the show worldwide.
During a Universal Music Group earnings call on Thursday (via Variety), chairman Lucian Grainge said, “Plans are now in development to take ‘Abba Voyage’ around the world.” No further details have been revealed at this time.
For now, the only place to catch “Abba Voyage” is at the custom-built, 3,000-capacity Abba Arena in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. In order to create the production, George Lucas’ Industrial Light & Magic used motion-capture technology to create digital avatars (or “Abba-tars”) of how Agnetha Falkstog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad looked in 1979. The 90-minute concert spans from Abba’s classic 1970s catalog to 2021’s Voyage, their first release in 40 years.

Mamma Mia! star Amanda Seyfried reveals the one Abba song she never wants to hear again. The Swedish pop band's massive hits were assembled into a hit jukebox musical in 1999. Seyfried went on to star in the 2008 film adaptation, playing a young woman named Sophie who grew up on a remote Greek island with her mother Donna (Meryl Streep) and invites three men who might be her father to her wedding.
Recently, Seyfried sat down with Vanity Fair to break down some scenes from her most famous movies, including Mamma Mia!.

James Cameron’s “Avatar: The Way of Water” swept the 21st annual Ves Awards Wednesday night in an unprecedented wave of dominance in every category, winning nine of its record-breaking 14 nominations, including the top photoreal feature, and the newest category, The Emerging Technology Award, for its innovative water toolset.
Although the prestigious visual effects honorary society has not been a reliable Oscar bellwether in recent years — picking the VFX winner only twice in the last six years — this now looks like a lock for the “Avatar” sequel.
Hosted by Patton Oswalt at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio” (from Netflix) — the favorite to win the Best Animated Feature Oscar — won the top animation trophy and took home three awards; Amazon’s “Thirteen Lives” snagged the supporting prize, and Amazon Prime Video’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” grabbed the episodic prize and also took home three awards.

‘You never know’: Harry Styles addresses Grammy crowd’s shock he won Album of the Year over Beyoncé
Harry Styles has responded to claims he shouldn’t have won the Grammys‘ Album of the Year prize.
The singer won several trophies at the 2023 ceremony, but it was his triumph in the evening’s most coveted category, for the record Harry’s House, that has divided music fans.
It was widely believed that the award would go to either Renaissance by BeyonceÌ or 30 by Adele, with Style’s win surprising those in the venue, the majority of whom could be heard shouting out Beyoncé’s name.
Styles acknowledged the sentiment backstage after being questioned on the subject.

The 2023 Grammy Awards took place on Sunday, February 5 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
Beyoncé led with the most nominations with nine in total while Kendrick Lamar received eight. Jay-Z earned five nominations, tying his wife, Beyoncé, for the most nominations in Grammys history at 88.
Beyoncé and the contemporary Christian music collective Maverick City Music each won the most awards with four trophies. Beyoncé’s four victories this year for Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Traditional R&b Performance, Best R&b Song and Best Dance/Electronic Music Album made her the artist with the most Grammy wins in history with 32.
However, Beyoncé failed to scoop up the night’s three major awards: Song of the Year (Bonnie Raitt‘s “Just Like That”), Record of the Year (Lizzo‘s “About Damn Time”) and Album of the Year (Harry Styles‘ Harry’s House).
Lizzo appeared visibly stunned by her win.

“Don’t Shut Me Down” — Abba
“Easy On Me” — Adele
