When pigs fly? More like when gators climb! An estimated eight-foot long alligator was caught on video climbing over a chain-link fence in Fort Myers, Florida, reported Wfla. In the video, the large reptile easily scales the fence, which was located at the Hideaway Country Club, a golf course. Residents told Wfla they're concerned about the crafty gator being near to their homes - and their pets. Said one dog owner, "I'm afraid if the alligator is out, he can come running after it because he is a small dog." The video comes just weeks after 2-year-old Lane Graves was...

I'm one of those guys that don't watch the Super Bowl for the game. I watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and movie spots, and there were a lot of great commercials this year! Companies spent a combined $359 million on advertising during this year's Super Bowl, with each 30-second spot estimated to cost about $4.5 million.
A few of my favorite commercials included the ones for Skittles, Snickers, Liam Neeson's amazing Clash of Clans spot, and of course Esurance's "Say May Name" commercial with Bryan Cranston reprising his role as Walter White. Even though there were a lot of great commercials, there were some bad ones sprinkled in there as well, like Kim Kardashian's T-Mobile commercial and Nationwide's "Make Safe Happen," which caused a lot of controversy.
What was your favorite Super Bowl commercial this year?
Clash of Clans, "Revenge"
Skittles, "Settle It"
Esurance, "Say My Name"

The time is night for the Super Bowl, where every year advertisers pony up big bucks (nowadays, north of $4 million per 30-second spot) to wave their wares in front of 100 million viewers.
Who drafted big stars to shill? Who went for laughs? Who tugged at heartstrings? And who went out of their way to remind us with a sledgehammer, “Sex sells”?
Read our quick take on many of the commercials from Super Bowl Xlix, and then share your own reviews in Comments.

The 2015 Super Bowl is more than just cheese products, football and Tom Brady's smug mug. HitFix is watching all the commercials along with you, so get out your red pen: we're grading all the ads as they happen. Follow along, we'll start the tally at kickoff, 3:30pm Pst. -- Fine, it's not kickoff yet, but I half-wish the pterodactyl from the "Jurassic World" trailer would sweep down and pick up Pete Carroll. "Think it will scare the kids?" asks Bryce Dallas Howard's clueless-sounding character. Do You Think? More sweaty shots of Chris Pratt's half-scared, all-brutally handsome face. Grade: B Chevy's "What if your TV went out?" commercial is the equivalent of your little brother poking your feet with a pencil and asking if its annoying. It is annoying. And the Cloverfieldian "cut-out" of my television lacks novelty. AC/DC keeps collecting "Back in Black" paychecks. Grade: D+ Speaking of paychecks,...

Lying, cheating, deceitful pig! Anytime that sentence is uttered you know there’s some drama. We will get to the slick used car salesman that is Brian in just a bit, but first let me say I’m glad this season has officially begun. As of this week, the gloves came off and it is on.
The week began with the group dodgeball date. The day started off innocently enough in a small private little gym where the guys got absolutely pummeled with balls from professional dodge ballers. (Who knew there was such a thing?) Let me tell you, I...

You Are Not I
"Showcasing a free-form approach to narrative that you'll wish wasn't all but extinct in American independent cinema," writes Benjamin Mercer in the L, "Sara Driver's long-unavailable (and too small) body of work constitutes a minor revelation. In her 1981 debut, You Are Not I — recently rediscovered and refurbished, providing the impetus for Anthology's retrospective — Driver laid the groundwork for her eerily dissonant overlay of enchantment, terror, and tedium: Adapting a Paul Bowles story with longtime collaborator (and partner) Jim Jarmusch, who also shot the film on black-and-white 16mm, You Are Not I is an outer-boundary study in the mind's capacity to project its disturbance." Suzanne Fletcher plays Ethel, "who has somehow escaped from a nearby mental hospital in the flaming aftermath of a several-car pileup. She travels through a derelict zone to her sister's house, where the 'inconvenient' Ethel winds up in an unnervingly clenched domestic showdown.

Michelle Kemper Brownlow: I have enjoyed the new "Kate Plus 8," and Sunday's episode left me wanting more. I am a big Kate Gosselin fan -- not because she is famous, but because I admire her strength, her commitment to her kids and her resilience. I know I may get backlash for this post. I always cause a ruckus when I go pro-Kate, but when I watch the show, I see a mom doing a bang-up job raising some awesome kids!
I think I have enjoyed the new "Kate Plus 8" because of the almost audible sigh of relief you can see on her face and hear in her voice. Sure, she still gets annoyed at the kids or circumstances, but I don't sense that deep agitation she had in prior seasons in the big brown chair with the "loud breather" next to her.
Episode two highlighted the Gosselin's newest adventure: chickens!

Well, if Casey had to go, he sure went out with guns a'blazin'! But first… After Jessie won Hoh again last week, I couldn't help but laugh when he started pulling the House Guests into his Hoh Room, one at a time, to interrogate…uh, I mean, question each one about their motives and game play. Although many viewers have their issues with Jessie, you have to admit this is good stuff and the boards keep talking about him, so there's something to be said about that! Speaking of…Jessie, Natalie, and Lydia? Talk amongst yourselves… I'm not even going to begin to speculate on that! Lydia: "When I'm watching Jessie sleeping sometimes, he moves or smiles or his face has expressions - maybe he's dreaming of unicorns…maybe he's thinking about me. That would be nice." Fun Fact: Have/Have Not Competition: "Keg Racer" We used 75 gallons of suds.

Q: Just wondering if there is any information on Star Trek hottie Anton Yelchin's orientation? -- Logan, Terre Haute, In
Anton Yelchin as Star Trek's Ensign Checkov
A: I confess I was confused by the casting of Yelchin as Chekov, because unlike the rest of the new Enterprise crew, he doesn’t look anything like original actor Walter Koenig, not even when you really, really squint.
On the other hand, Yelchin deliberately hams up the Russian accent, just like Koenig, apparently for comic relief. (Interestingly, both Yelchin and Koenig really are of Russian decent, with parents who emigrated to the U.S. Yelchin even has an accent in real life.)
The 20-year-old actor (who also appears in Terminator Salvation) has indicated in interviews that he’s straight.
