I really love this cartoon. I remember coming home from school and watching it everyday. I thought it was funny and entertaining. I always remember the Pink Panther getting in trouble somehow and always finding a way to get out of it. I never saw the original cartoon before this one so having a voice for the Pink Panther did not bother me one bit. When I did see a part of the original Pink Panther I did not particularly like it. To me it was boring without the voice. I couldn't really understand what was happening without any voices. I guess it depends what cartoon you grew up watching that really decides which version you like.

I was always a big fan of the original cartoons. Including the cartoons showed with Pink Panther, including The Inspector, The Ant And The Aardvark, and all the rest.
So when I heard there was going to be a new cartoon, and the Pink Panther would talk, I wasn't sure how that would be. I thought it might ruin everything about the Pink Panther, but I decided to give it a try.
Boy was I glad I did! Not only do they incorporate the other characters I mentioned into the show at times, (which actually always works with these original stories!) but the voice worked perfectly! All the others were great too, like the Inspector, who at times would work with the Pink Panther and those were some of my VERY favorite episodes! Let's face it, who doesn't love Pinky and the Inspector? Well to have them work together was fantastic.
There was also a tiki man who lived on an island and all other sorts of great stuff going on. I wish it was for sale. And I wish the reviews I saw would have given it a chance, because this fan thinks it's one of the best Pink Panther related creations ever.

Classic Cartoon. Great nostalgic theme song that even the child in the womb knows.
Good times.
Good times.

The old pantomime cartoons where the Pink Panther very rarely spoke were quite clever and funny. Unfortunately, while this later series does have some genuinely good jokes and episodes, overall the 1990's series is a big disappointment.
It tries to be hip to supposedly appeal to the younger set, but fails, and also resorts to ethnic stereotypes that stopped being funny decades before. It also tries to replace cleverness with silliness. The old series did resort to weirdness at times, but did so in a clever way. This series actually tries to be more conventional, and feels like a cookie-cutter cartoon in which the Pink Panther happened to be inserted.
Find videos of the older series and watch those.
